That dewy-glow look is currently all the rage among our favorite Korean celebrities such as Descendants of the Sun's Song Hye Kyo and former 2NE1 member Sandara Park.
The Philippines has also caught up with this trend. Angel Locsin and Angelica Panganiban have been spotted having that natural glow with less makeup.
In an exclusive interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), celebrity makeup artist Jigs Mayuga is happy that Pinays, especially those who prefer au naturel, now have this new option.
He tells PEP, "Usually with dewy or you can also call it strobe skin or highlighted skin, which is very popular nowadays, and I think, it's great because we're veering away from super matte or super contoured."
Jigs shares a few tips and tricks on how to achieve that dewy glow.
1. Proper skin care is important.
Jigs explains, "Usually, it starts off by taking care of your skin because if you have dry skin or if you have skin that's a little bit blemished, it's harder to pull it off.
"So it's best to take really good care of your skin."
2. Less is more.
The dewy makeup is practically the no makeup look plus the highlights.
Jigs tells PEP, "It's really about using less foundation and parang things that cover up the skin because you really want to make sure that you highlight skin and the skin shows through."

Refrain from putting on layers and layers of foundation or BB creams all over your face. Apply it on areas where it's needed.
The celebrity makeup artist adds, "Siguro, it's a lot of correcting like under eye circles by using color correctors.
"If you have redness around your face, you use green to correct the redness.
"And then, once you've corrected the color imbalance, you could use like a sheer wash of like concealer or even BB cream and foundation on areas where you need it, not all over the face."

3. Highlight key areas. Apply a hint of your favorite highlighter to these five key areas: high points of cheeks, cupid's bow, bridge and the tip of the nose, and the chin.
If you're not keen on getting a highlighter palette, you can buy makeup bases or foundations that already have an illuminating effect.
You don't need to go overboard with your highlighter.
Jigs says, "Use illuminating products like strobe creams or yung mga makeup base na may konting highlight. Marami nang glow na makeup base or foundation so ayun, use those foundations that have like a glow."

4. Those with oily skin has a natural glow.
To minimize or manage the oiliness, Jigs suggests to put on some oil-control mattifier on your T-zone.
"If you're naturally oily, you already have that glow e parang may konti ka nang dewyness, e.
"So what you can do is to mattify the T-zone and siguro, wag mo nang gamitan ng oil control lotion yung cheeks mo.
"And maybe, after awhile, once your foundation sets, you won't need any highlighter or any strobing product."
5. Let it set!
Use a setting spray to avoid the matte or cakey finish.
