Like most teenagers, young star Taki also considers pimples as her most common skin problem.

Pimple is a common skin problem.

Even celebrities, who always look flawless on television, get it once in a while.

Young star Taki of Trops, for instance, admitted, “Nasa stage po ako na ang dami kong pimples.”

At the YES! 100 Most Beautiful Stars event, she told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), “Magaling yung makeup artist kong magtago.

“At kaya may bangs po ako, medyo may tinatago tayong sumpa,” said the 17-year-old beauty, smiling.

Her beauty routine is not so complicated, “Every night, I never forget to take off the makeup and wash your face,” but she regularly goes to her dermatologist.

Taki added, “I have facials and medicines.”

But for “big, big pimples” and "tipong I need to get rid of them ASAP," she revealed getting injections.

CORTISONE SHOT.  What happens is that a “diluted corticosteroid” is injected directly into the acne causing it to flatten in a few hours.

Most people who tried this one-shot treatment claimed it doesn’t hurt, and it doesn’t leave any blemish.

But it’s the best option for emergency situations, like it’s your prom or wedding tomorrow.

Too much of it can cause skin dent and depression because steroids can damage the fatty tissue.

Is it expensive?

Beauty clinics normally charge a consultation fee for the dermatologist and a minimum of 200 pesos per shot.
