Have you seen Elisse Joson in person?
During her time in the Pinoy Big Brother house, cameras often caught her fellow housemate and eventual screen partner McCoy de Leon staring at her.
Who can blame him? The lady looks fresh even if she's bagong gising, and flawless even sans makeup.
According to the 21-year-old actress and commercial model, she doesn’t have a beauty regimen—at least not in the strictest sense.
"Wala naman akong beauty regimen," she revealed in a recent interview.
Other than the beauty product that she's endorsing, the Kapamilya teen said, "Regular trips lang sa derma."
She elaborated, "Yung work namin, puyatan. Hindi maiiwasang mapagod din ang skin.
"Ideally, every week dapat nagpapa-derma ka.
"Pero kung hindi kaya ng schedule mo, sana at least once every two weeks.
"Usually I get a facial.
"So yun, nakakatulong talaga ang derma."
Her other secret: sleeping.
World-renowned Los Angeles-based dermatologist Dr. Howard Murad—whose celebrity clients include Hollywood actress Emma Roberts and Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo—underlined the importance of sleep in protecting our skin from damage.
Murad said, "If you don’t want to have dehydrated skin, puffy eyes, dark circles, and sallow complexions, you need to get a good night’s sleep.”
Elisse echoed, "Kailangan talaga namin yung sleep, if kaya. Unfortunately, dahil nga sa dami ng ginagawa, hindi kaya.
"Pero pag may time, dapat talalga matulog ka nang maayos para sa skin mo."
Since sleep is hard to come by for Elisse, she makes sure she doesn't do further harm to her skin.
For example, she never goes to sleep without taking her makeup off.
"Siyempre sa work may makeup kami, di ba? Pero after, bawal hahayaan mo lang na nasa face mo pa rin makeup mo.
"Dapat makahinga yung skin mo."
She also keeps her skin hydrated.
"Ako, I always make sure to wash my face and moisturize. Important ang moisturizing kahit na bata pa tayo.
"Ang skin natin magbe-benefit in the future if we moisturize now."
