To look young, Alice Dixson believes that we should go beyond just having a beauty regimen.
At the Watson's Time To Renew event, she told the press, "The approach has to be holistic.
"You use beauty products to enhance your beauty, and you do other things that will be good to your body."
To prevent wrinkles, she has regular facials and laser-light treatments, but "preventive maintenance" is also important.
The former beauty queen, endorser, and actress said, "If there's too much stress in your life, that can have an effect on your skin.
"So it's important to know how to avoid them."
PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) asked: What are the usual causes of your stress?
"Mga taong hindi nakakaintindi," she answered frankly.
"People who don’t focus, and do something that they have to redo it because they’re not focused.
"I think dun ako naiirita most."
The 48-year-old star continued, "I’m very stressed sa traffic, so I don’t like to drive so much.
"And I always pick the time na walang traffic sa daan."
When stress is there, how does she deal with it? Does she get mad?
"I’m the kind of person who does preventive maintenance, so if I know magiging stress ko iyan, hindi ko iyan papasukin."
Her stress busters are "massage and exercise."
Of the latter, she said, "it activates your endorphins," which are natural chemicals in the body that fight pain.
"And, I almost forgot...smile. Have a happy heart."
In a separate interview with ABS-CBN.com, she confirmed that she has a happy heart, and that she wishes to have a family soon.
