Barbie Forteza is our new favorite funny girl.

Can you still remember the first time Barbie Forteza appeared on TV?

She was then 12 years old, and played the young Jodi in Stairway to Heaven.

Since then, Barbie has had a string of successful projects—Pilyang Kerubin, The Half Sisters, and Meant To Be—making her one of the more reliable and bankable actresses of GMA-7.

Can you believe she's been in the business for eight years?

We're so used to seeing her that we almost missed her transition from being a cute tween to a beautiful teen star.

Dalaga na pala si Barbie, at may boyfriend na!

Here's a look back at the transformation of Barbie.

With her long hair and clip, Barbie was a typical "nene" when she was picked to play the young Rhian Ramos in Stairway to Heaven.

She was then paired with Joshua Dionisio.

Soon after that, Barbie starred in the youth-oriented show Tween Hearts, and became the kikay tween queen known for her brightly colored outfits and headbands.

Her biggest break was in her first primetime series First Time, which she topbilled with Joshua.

As a teenager, she liked flowy, pastel-colored dresses, and for a time, she sported the shoulder-length hairstyle.

But off cam, Barbie preferred the shirt-and-jeans combo.

Barbie's choices for her OOTDs have been age-appropriate.

Slowly, she started becoming more experimental, trying out different silhouettes and bolder prints.

For her 18th birthday, Barbie didn't want a grand party, but was surprised with one.

The one that she planned then was "kainan lang din, wala pa ring inuman" with a few friends.

Simplicity has been part of Barbie’s charm.

Early this year, Barbie stunned us with her bikini photo that went viral. This she wore for the recently concluded primetime series Meant To Be on GMA-7.

Now 20 years old, she's everyone’s new favorite funny girl.

And with Barbie's recent announcement that made her relationship with Jak Roberto official, we echo her wish: "Sana magtagal."
