Since the nature of her job requires Lovi Poe to face the camera almost 24/7, she admitted to being “super OA” when it comes to taking care of her skin.
She would usually experiment on new beauty products, but it backfired one time and caused her skin to break out.
"Baka naman puyat lang din ako,” said Lovi in an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) last October 2016.
"But then, I just started [applying] a new something, and it just didn't work out for me."
A year after her breakout incident, the 28-year-old Lovi seems to have discovered the right beauty regimen to achieve a glowing skin.
In fact, there are days when she goes without makeup and is even confident enough to show on Instagram her “au naturel” look.
Speaking to PEP.ph, Lovi gushed, “Okay, I’m gonna share the brands!”
For daytime use, Lovi applies Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Moisturizer, which costs $21 or PHP1,050 (online store price).
According to its official website, it contains squalane, a signature Kiehl’s ingredient that keeps the skin soft and dewy.
For nighttime use, Lovi applies Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate, which costs $46 or P2,300 (online store price).
This serum is said to be a “replenishing elixir of pure essential oils and distilled botanicals” that visibly restores the appearance of skin by morning.
To remove dark circles, she swears by La Mer’s The Eye Concentrate, which costs $205 or P10,250 (online store price).
According to La Mere’s official website, it is a deeply-conditioning cream that “visibly diminishes dark circles.”
Lovi added, “I’m using La Mer eye cream because it’s the most effective way for me to remove dark circles."
PEP.ph’s exclusive interview with Lovi was held after the presscon of her upcoming Kapuso primetime series The One That Got Away—which formerly went by the hashtag #Kuwentuhang Ex—held at the 17th Floor of GMA Network Center last September 21.
