Sunshine Cruz always gets compliments for her youthful looks wherever she goes.
Same thing happens on the Internet when she posts photos of herself.
And when she's with her daughters Angelina, Samantha, and Chesca, the compliment "parang lang magkakapatid” is repeated many times over.
Naturally, Sunshine is “flattered.”
“I’m flattered when people also say, ‘Oy, muhka kang bata. Mukha kayong magkakapatid!’" she told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) before Megaworld Lifestyle’s special screening of Justice League at Uptown Mall in Bonifacio Global City.
“Thank you, pero ako naman, I’m just trying to do what I love most,” she said.
Mindful of her health, Sunshine said she has been living a healthy lifestyle.
And she makes sure her daughters follow her example.
She pointed out, “I enjoy exercising, I enjoy being with my kids and exercising with them, bonding with them.”
Is she conscious of her age?
“No, I’m proud of my age," her reply, in a heartbeat.
“I’m 40 years old, and people tell me that I am very healthy.
"And that I look healthy for my age."
Shine turned a year older last July 18, 1977.
She resumed, “Wala naman akong dapat i-prove or ano.
“It’s just that I want to be an inspiration.”
AGE AS A BLESSING. Sunshine sees the aging process as a chance to live a full life.
She said, “Unang-una, I’m thankful na nadadagdagan edad ko.
"Marami, bata pa lang, nawawala, nagkakasakit…
“Nagagawa ko ang gusto ko gawin…”
Above all else, she wants a lot more time to be with her daughters.
“I hope na mahaba-habang panahon pa na mabuhay ako para sa mga anak ko.
"At para maging inspirasyon ako sa mga tao.
“I’m thankful for my age.”
