Sofia Andres (top, L) and Elisse Joson both entered showbiz in 2012. The two ladies are presently among ABS-CBN's rising leading ladies.

There's what most people call the "awkward stage"—which is when the baby fats are still evident or the pimples are prevalent.

Once a girl transitions from tween to teen, that's when the transformation begins.

Inspired by this currently-viral challenge on Facebook, where netizens are asked to post their 2012 and 2017 pictures side by side, (Philippine Entertainment Portal) jumps on the bandwagon with these throwback photos of ABS-CBN's up and coming leading ladies.

Loisa Andalio, 18

The photo on the left was taken in 2013, before she entered the Pinoy Big Brother house as a teen housemate.

These days, Loisa is known for her character Hazel Castillo in the primetime series The Good Son.

Sofia Andres, 19

Her TV career started when she was cast as Dindi Maghirang in The Princess and I in 2012.

Fast forward to 2018, her soap Pusong Ligaw has just aired its final episode today, January 12.

Sofia is set to join Bagani, which will be top-billed by Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano.

Sue Ramirez, 21

She was given her first major supporting role in 2011 via the remake of Mula Sa Puso.

The photo on the left was taken in 2012, when she starred in Oka2kat.

Sue is currently among the main stars of Hanggang Saan.

Elisse Joson, 22
