Max Collins was a glowing bride when she married Pancho Magno last December 11, 2017, at the Manila Marriott Hotel.
What was the inspiration behind her bridal look?
Believe it or not, it was Barbie.
“Barbie. She was my peg. Like Barbie came from the beach—Malibu Barbie.
“I wanted to be different a little bit. I wanted to look like a young bride.
"That’s why I had my hair up in a double ponytail and I had light pink lipstick," Max told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) last February 25, during a special shoot for a cosmetic brand.
The Kapuso actress also gave her skin a bit of a bronze glow to accentuate her beaded Francis Libiran bridal gown.
She said, “I just wanted to have that glow,” which she got by using a tanning spray from Pink Parlor.
With regard to her makeup, Max chose Denise Ochoa, who also had a role in the actress’ career.
The One That Got Away star told PEP.ph, “I chose Denise since I started showbiz because of her.
“She was the one who brought me to VTRs. I started modelling because of her when I was, like, 10 or 11.
“So bata pa lang ako, I was always close to her, she’s like a second mom to me. I call her 'Mommy.'”
To all brides-to-be, Max advised to go for what you want.
“It’s wise to really know how you want to look para you can achieve the look somehow.
“As opposed to, ‘Oh sige na, puwede na’ on the day itself.
"You really should be adamant about what you want."
Some look for pegs, and actually try them before the wedding.
"Because it’s your day, your special day, stick to what you want.
"And make sure you know what you want.
"Don’t stop until you get what you want…”
