Teen stars Andrea Brillantes and Loisa Andalio both agree that eyeliner is an essential item in their makeup kits.

Makeup is an essential must-know when you’re a celebrity.

While they do have makeup artists to help get themselves glam-ready at any given event, a celebrity still needs to look presentable wherever else they go.

That’s why, these celebrities have mastered the art of doing their own makeup as well.

And what exactly are the makeup skills you need to master to enhance your natural beauty.

Ever Bilena and Careline endorsers Andrea Brillantes, Loisa Andalio, Max Collins, Yana Asistio, and Dianne Medina enumerate the basics:

Perfect the foundation.  Believe it or not, Andrea Brillantes does her own makeup on the weekly ABS-CBN variety show, ASAP.

The 14-year-old Careline endorser appears to be a pro at makeup, but Andrea begs to differ.

The young star admits she still needs to learn how to apply foundation flawlessly.

Blend, blend, blend. For Kapuso actress Max Collins, blending is a must-know when it comes to makeup.

There’s a lot of blending that goes on with makeup, especially at the start when you’re focused on applying products on your face.

Max points out, “You have to know how to blend your contour, blend your foundation, kasi, siyempre, the face is not the same shade as your neck.

“You have to make sure that the face and the neck are the same shade, and you have to make sure your contour and your nose line aren’t halata.”

Work those eyes. Arguably some of the toughest makeup skills to perfect often involves the eyes.

Andrea, Loisa Andalio, and Yana Asistio all agree that it takes a certain level of expertise to achieve a desired eye makeup.

Loisa points out, “Kapag marunong ka maglagay ng pilik-mata saka kilay, yun talaga, magaling ka na mag-makeup kasi yun lang naman yung mahirap, e.”

Yana expresses her frustration when it comes to using eyeliner.

She throws in, “Mukha akong banlag minsan kasi eyeliner ko dito maganda, 'tapos sa kabila ang kapal!”

Meanwhile, Andrea believes the eyeliner is the prime essential to master, “Kapag na-perfect ko na, feeling ko pro na ako!”

Choose the right makeup product. Aside from skills, Dianne Medina believes that mastering makeup begins with choosing the right products.

She relates, “Kung feeling mo maganda ka nang makapal ang makeup or walang makeup at all—whatever works for you.

“Feeling ko mas nagma-matter talaga yung product that you will use and, for me, I feel most beautiful whenever I use Ever Bilena.

“Hindi lang siya locally made. What I like about Ever Bilena is the brand can compete internationally, pero talagang affordable.

“Lalo na mga millennials ngayon, of course, we’re all saving up, we’re always on a budget. Importante na nakabudget ka [and] at the same time, nakukuha mo worth ng pera mo.”
