A lot is definitely in store for GMA-7 actress Heart Evangelista for the rest of the year.
Heart may not be busy with a prime time series, but the 33-year-old Kapuso actress is working on a lot of projects outside showbiz.
In an exclusive interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), Heart talked about what's keeping her busy since her hit romantic comedy series My Korean Jagiya ended.
She said she's preparing to launch a new art collection which she'll reveal in the coming months, and will be opening a new business venture this April.
But one thing her fans can look forward to later this year is her collaboration with a local make-up brand.
Heart revealed, "I'm not sure if I can say it yet but it's definitely not my name. I think I wanna just be behind a certain brand."
She added, "I'm working behind the scenes."
Heart along with celebrity VIPs including Carmina Villaroel-Legaspi, Jasmine Curtis-Smith, Mika Martinez, Tootsy Angara, Mari Jasmine, and fashion bloggers Nicole Andersson, Laureen Uy, and Tricia Gosingtian-Gabunada graced the opening of Longchamp's new boutique in Rustan's Makati on March 13, Tuesday.
Heart, obviously, is also a big fan of make-up, "Maarte ako so that's a given!"
But the VIVA talent said that she didn't really consider coming up with an eponymous make-up line.
Heart further explained, "That's the thing, I didn't want to come up [with] my name [on the brand].
"I love make-up so much, but I felt that since the market is starting to get flooded, and I also don't want to compete with other people, I decided to just go behind the scenes of a certain brand that a friend and I are developing."
It usually takes her more or less 10 minutes to finish her own make-up, especially noting that her painting skills also help.
Most of the time, she collaborates with her makeup artist. Her favorite make-up tool? The eyeliner.
Heart noted, "Cat's eye has always been my thing so pag dating sa eyeliner, ako.
"Sometimes, my make-up artist, she just helps with everything else."
Heart further revealed that her obsession for drawing a cat's eye using eyeliners dates back to when she was still studying.
She even used a ball pen as an alternative for a liquid eyeliner.
The actress recalled with a laugh, "Bata pa lang ako naga-eyeliner na ako sa school! Pilot ball pen lang!
"Wala pang liquid eyeliner, e, so pilot ball pen lang yung ginagamit ko."
