Kris Bernal swears she has no secret to looking "mukhang bata."
Can you believe she's already 29 years old?
"Wala akong talagang beauty routine," she told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) in an exclusive during Me Time with Watsons event at SM aura Premier on August 16.
"Maybe, shape ng face ko? Or maybe, yung outlook sa buhay.
"But actually, in all honesty, I'm not that conscious sa aking skin. Hindi ako maarte talaga."
Her daily beauty routine is very basic.
"Wash face lang. Minsan nga, nakakatulugan ko na makeup ko, e. Sa sobrang pagod ko, hindi ko na naaalis.
"Hindi lang ako masipag.
"I don't put too much cream or whatever sa face.
"More on intake kesa what I put.
Elaborating on the latter, Kris continued, ""Saka I noticed, parang mas mabilis din yung effect.
"Yung water, mahilig ako uminom ng tubig para hindi ka dehydrated, plus, nawawala yung toxins, di ba.
"Iyon siguro kaya hindi rin ako napi-pimple."
Kris thinks her multivitamins also help.
She did not enumerate the types of vitamins she take, but according to skin experts, antioxidants such as beta-carotene and vitamins C, E, and A can help delay the signs of aging.
The StarStruck alumna also gets her regular IV shots of Glutathione, which was dubbed by a New York Times article as "the one nutrient everyone needs."
Kris said, "It goes straight to your veins na e so I guess it helps my skin, it's faster, di ba.
"Hindi lang siya for whitening, it's anti-aging din, and for energy."
She needs the latter for her workouts, which, according to the actress, "Isa pa iyan na good for skin. Naipapawis mo yung toxins."
PEP.ph asked: Is that also how you get your glow?
Smiling, Kris answered, "Yes, among other things. Yung outlook mo rin sa buhay. Dapat masaya ka, yun ang talagang nakakabata."
