Julie Anne San Jose surprised her Instagram followers last October 30 with her new look—a short bob, her shortest hairstyle yet, done by her go-to stylist Rhoy Cervantes.
And then again, based on her post last November 11, the actress-singer seemed to have her short hair trimmed by a few centimeters more.
The Studio 7 star's new hairdo is reminiscent of Taylor Swift's hairstyle at 2016 Grammy Awards night.
It also sparked more interest when she posted a photo and captioned it with "Thank You, Next," the title of an Ariana Grande song.
Ariana's song, which was released early this month, is about ex-boyfriends and moving on from failed relationships.
Many of Julie Anne's Instagram followers wondered if her new look was, in any way, related to her rumored breakup with Benjamin Alves.
The 24-year-old performer clarified she just wanted to try a new hairstyle.
"Wala lang para mas bagong look lang," she said in an interview with GMA News.
With regard to her "thank you, next" caption, she explained, "Everyone's been talking about it and everyone loves that song.
"Nakaka-LSS din kasi siya sobra, so yun lang naman. Nothing else."
Whatever her reason, Julie Anne certainly looks gorgeous with her short bob hair.
Here are a few ways to style your short bob.
Tousled waves is the easiest way to update it.
Have your hair swept to the side with messy waves for a mussed-up look.
You'll never go wrong with a simple middle part plus some soft waves.
If you're feeling a little more edgy, layered bangs will do the trick.
