Miss Silka Philippines: A decade and more

Miss Silka Philippines has made quite a name for itself since its first regional pageant in 2008.

Now, a decade later, it continues its legacy of showcasing Filipina beauty, not only in terms of looks but also the heart. 

Cosmetique Asia Corporation, makers of Silka skincare products, held its 10^th Miss Silka Philippines pageant last November 17 at the Market! Market! Activity Center. 

Actor and model Mikael Daez and former beauty queen MJ Lastimosa hosted the show.

The G-force dancers entertained the crowd as they showed their dance moves together with the lovely contestants.

Guest appearances from popular celebrities such as Sam Concepcion and Silka Brand Ambassador Yassi Pressman also kept the event jam-packed. 

Over 26 young women from all over the Philippines represented their respective provinces in a showcase of wit, beauty, and more. The most confident and naturally beautiful with a heart for her community took home the crown. 

Andrea Fe Gomez, the 19-year-old psychology student from Baguio City, was crowned Miss Silka Philippines 2017.

As the grand winner, Ms. Gomez received a P150,000 cash prize, an endorsement project with Silka, and a chance to give a P100,000 donation to her chosen charity. 

Completing the roster of winners in this year's Miss Silka Philippines pageant are Miss Silka Quezon, Ashanti Ervas (first runner-up); Miss Silka Cebu, Nicole Borromeo (second runner-up); and Miss Silka Cagayan Valley, Nikita Pearl Teichmuller (third runner-up).
