Jay-R and fiancée Mica Javier have started planning their wedding.

The couple revealed some details to PEP.ph (Philippine Entertanment Portal) at #Lazada7Birthday Super Party in Indonesia Convention Exhibition in Greater Jakarta, Indonesia, last Tuesday, March 26.

Mica said they're taking their time, and have sought the help of wedding planner Amanda Tirol.

"We're not really stressing about everything, but we have a wedding planner who is amazing.

"She has a checklist of everything so it's just going."

She added, "We're family friends, and she's done a lot of my close friends' weddings."

BORACAY WEDDING

The wedding will be simple and non-traditional.

Jay-R said, "Very simple lang ang gusto namin na wedding na hindi bongga.

"Kami, iba naman kami, we wanna undo kasi outdo sila, 'di ba? Very simple lang na Boracay."

Mica added, "We basically want to customize the event for our, I call it like our 'love celebration' to show our personalities and how our relationship is.

"Of course, with our closest friends and families.

"They've been really helpful with trying to get us what we want and...basically create that vibe that we want together."

She elaborated, "Parang back to basics. It's all about our love for each other and our families merging.

"I don't know, just what we like as a couple instead of a copy and paste, traditional wedding."

Jay-R and Mica also revealed they will have a civil wedding in Los Angeles, California, before their Boracay wedding.

Jay-R explained, "Kasi my family is in L.A., ang dami nila.

"So we're gonna go in L.A. and do a little civil wedding there.

"'Tapos balik kami sa Pinas for her family and friends naman sa Pinas."

DREAM WEDDING GOWN

Does she already have a wedding gown?

She replied, "I have pegs, I have designers who, I like their gowns.

"But I haven't chosen, I haven't spoken to any designers.

"That's probably the hardest part, maybe."

She added, "My dream wedding is something not traditional.

"Not a ball gown, nothing with too much fabric. Something easy to move around in.

"I don't want to wear heels, I just wanna be barefoot, but it depends on the style."

SOCIAL MEDIA WEDDING

Because of social media, a lot of grooms and brides have over-the-top weddings.

The R&B Prince said, "I think it's great that they have the opportunity to have bongga weddings, and why not?

"And if that's what they like, there's no hate on that kasi yun ang gusto talaga nila e."

Mica seconded, "Each to their own, right? Like every one has their own dream wedding.

"And maybe our dream wedding is just different."

Jay-R stressed, "The only thing I don't like is everyone trying to outdo each other.

"It's not like they're doing it on purpose pero parang ganun yung nangyayari, e.

"That's what it looks like on social media so kami, we don't really want to fall into that.

"You know, just chill lang."

Jay-R and Mica got engaged last October 21, 2018, while shooting a music video at Nobu Hotel in City of Dreams Manila.
