Early today, February 25, 2020, Judy Ann Santos posted a birthday message on Instagram.
It was for the most important woman in her life—her mom Carolina Lumagui.
She wrote, "She’s mommy carol, tita kah, mama kah, kumare to many.. but for us.. she’s our one and only mom.. we had our fair share of misunderstandings.. tampuhans.. at marami pang iba..
"but, at the end of the day.. we are family.. we will understand and support each other till the end..
"i love you ma.. from moon and back.. thank you for giving life to all us.. happiest birthday to our rock.. ikaw talaga.. ang “THE ROCK”!"
Juday has nothing but admiration for her "tough mom."
In a previous Instagram post, she gave a glimpse of her mom's life as an OFW (overseas Filipino worker) in Canada.
"...sacrificed so much for us.. missed a lot of milestones while we were growing up, took care of other people’s children, took 2 to 3 jobs at a time just to make sure she’ll be able to fill her balikbayan boxes with our “bilins”... cried every christmas eve and other special occasions that she can’t celebrate with us. She’s happiest when were happy.. she’s the first person to feel our pain.. she’s a warrior.. and she’s our mom.."
Meanwhile, Judy Anne's brother Jeffrey Santos talked to PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) in an interview held in October 2018 about the 'walang sikat' treatment in their home.
He said, “The names never mattered. The accolades never mattered...alam mo naman, e, bahay, e. It is not a house, it’s a home. In every sense of the word, in every sense of the word."
Happy birthday, Mommy Carol.
