Richard Gomez and Lucy Torres celebrated their 22nd wedding anniversary yesterday, April 28.
To mark the occasion, the couple planted "a beautiful Dita tree" in one of the hills of Ormoc City.
Richard said in his Intagram caption that the tree symbolized his love for Lucy: "It is an evergreen, just like my love for you @lucytgomez. Thank you for being my guiding light."
Their only daughter, Juliana, 19, was present at the tree planting.
For Lucy's part, she got in touch with wedding videographer Jason Magbanua to ask him to whip up a new wedding video for her and Richard.
Lucy had the raw files from the wedding coverage ABS-CBN did back then.
She had the idea of using them to create a "fresh video" that she could give Richard as an anniversary present.
Her caption read: "I watch this clip from our wedding and always, it is a beautiful walk down that time in our love story.
"Thank you for 22, my @richardgomezinstagram.
"You enter a room and you just bring the sunshine in. With you, everything is just better.
"Know that you are my love song, every bit of that magic I ever believed in."
