KZ Tandingan and TJ Monterde surprised showbiz fans when they revealed in October that they had already gotten married.
It was an intimate affair held on August 28, 2020 at The Farm at San Benito in Batangas.
The couple revealed the wedding news through a music video uploaded on October 8.
Two weeks after their wedding announcement, KZ and TJ joined RX 93.1 radio deejays Rico Robles and Karla Aguas on their show All Out.
KZ and TJ answered some fan questions, including how they put together their intimate wedding?
One listener was torn between staging an intimate wedding or a grand ceremony.
The couple had already planned to have an intimate affair even before the pandemic made it a standard, but KZ still had this advice for the listener.
She said, "Basta guys, kung saan kayo masaya, iyon iyong gawin niyo.
"It's your wedding, so the most important people who should be happy on that day are the two of you."
KZ and TJ intentionally kept their ceremony small because they wanted every guest to be a true witness to their love story.
The ABS-CBN singer continued, "Kami kasi, the reason why we wanted an intimate wedding talaga, pre-pandemic pa, is because we wanted to invite people who were really there from the beginning.
"Na when we are exchanging our vows, makikita mo sila nodding na, 'Yeah, I saw that part. I saw that phase in your relationship.'
"Sa gabing iyon, it's actually a celebration of not only our union, but ang pag-witness ng mga importanteng taong ito sa journey namin. Kaya importante sa amin na kakilala namin."
The couple also wanted to make sure they knew everyone in the wedding.
KZ pointed out, "It's our wedding day and we only get married once in our lives. Gusto talaga namin na mag-enjoy.
"[We don’t want to be] conscious na baka may hindi kami kakilala na biglang mag-picture sa amin kapag natalisod ako diyan 'tapos i-a-upload.
"May mga ganoon kaming fear kasi may mga nangyayari po minsan."
At the same time, it was cost-efficient to invite people KZ and TJ were sure would like to attend.
KZ reasoned, "Minsan kasi, kapag hindi mo masyado ka-close, most of the time... hindi rin naman sila aattend.
"But you have to pay for the plates, ganyan. So parang, ano ba iyong use? Bakit ko ba siya ininvite?"
How they made their guest list
Despite having a criteria on who they should invite to their wedding, KZ and TJ still had difficulty trimming down the guest list. It was the hardest part of their wedding planning.
KZ quipped, "Sino ba dito ang hindi magtatampo? Chareng!"
To come up with a shortlist, the two of them would write down a name and discuss between themselves how they relate to the person.
TJ said, "Dapat kakilala naming dalawa. Isa iyon sa consideration naming dalawa.
"Kakilala naming dalawa para hindi siya ma-awkward kasi ako lang may kakilala sa kanya.
"Parang, iniwasan namin na sa wedding day, na na-o-awkward ako gumalaw kasi nahihiya ako kay ano. So dapat, sana kung maaari, kilala namin iyong mga tao."
Another consideration was if both KZ and TJ talked to the person outside of work.
TJ continued, "Kapag we talk with him outside of work, siguro may close friendship talaga kami. Iyon mga consideration namin. Pero hirap pa rin. Hirap mag-shortlist."
