GMA-7 actress Kiray Celis made sure her mom would feel special on her birthday.
Mommy Meriam celebrated her 56th birthday last May 24, 2021, Monday.
That day, Kiray uploaded her photo with her mom on Instagram. She accompanied the photo with a touching message and her birthday wish.
Kiray wrote, "Mama, happy happy birthday. Wish ko ay magandang kalusugan para sayo. At syempre happiness.
"Kaya gagawin ko lahat maging masaya lang kayo ni papa. Kung wish mo rin magka jowa pa ng isa, keri lang rin naman. I love you, mama!"

Aside from the lechon Kiray ordered for her birthday feast, Mommy Meriam got cash gifts amounting to PHP56,000.
Kiray uploaded a vlog that showed her mom's reaction upon seeing her surprise gift.
Her mom already became emotional when Kiray first handed her a "money balloon" that had PHP6,000 attached to it.
But when Kiray pulled out PHP50,000 cash from the lechon's mouth, Mommy Meriam was thrilled beyond words, and so was her dad, Tatay Jonathan.
In an Instagram post on Saturday, June 5, 2021, Kiray wrote, "56k dahil 56 years old na si mama! Kabog tong lechon money pulling! Kita niyo mukha ng papa ko?! Walang kainggit inggit sa katawan yan. HAHAHAHAHA!"

Kiray said the pandemic made her realize the importance of spending precious time with family.
She wrote, "Nung pandemic, talagang sobrang bonding kami. Lahat ng gusto ng mama't papa ko, talagang binibigay ko, sinusunod ko kasi life is too short, lalo na tumatanda na sila.
"Kailangan maipadama ko sa kanila kung gaano ko sila kamahal, kung gaano sila kaimportante sa buhay ko. At sila ang pinaka-importante sa buhay ko."
