Singer-songwriter Nica del Rosario and her partner Justine Peña proved that marriage is happier the second time around.
The two lovers held their second wedding in the Philippines on Saturday, February 18, 2023.
Nica and Justine first tied the knot in Sydney, Australia back in August 2022, where same-sex marriage is considered legal, even for couples who are tourist visa holders.
Their second wedding was held at the Our Haven Events Place in Indang, Cavite, as seen in the Instagram page of their official wedding photographer Matt Lee Shoots.
Matt Lee Shoots’ caption reads (published as is), “Sexuality isn’t a choice but happiness is. Words that resounded today at the wedding of Jus + Nica.
"150 guests fully supporting this purest form of love – family and chosen family alike."
"The biggest privilege to shoot the wedding of my good friends Jus + Nica, proof that love so pure attracts the same love tenfold."
The couple’s wedding was attended by 150 guests, including former Vice President Leni Robredo.
It can be recalled that Nica, along with Justine and singer Jeli Mateo, was behind the former campaign song “Kay Leni Tayo” during the May 2022 presidential elections.
Nica made her music breakthrough with the phenomenal success of "Tala," performed by Sarah Geronimo, and recently with the chart-topping success of "Rosas" with Gab Pangilinan, which Leni also used as her campaign song.
Meanwhile, Justine is a singer/songwriter/host/actress. She appeared in films and TV series like Abomination (2018), ANi (2019), and Gaya Sa Pelikula (2020).
Nica also shared a glimpse of the intimate ceremony on her personal Instagram account on Sunday, February 19, 2023, where she was seen sharing her first dance with Justine.
She wrote in the caption (published as is), “Heto na naman tayo hahahaha.
"Marami ulit kaming gustong sabihin at pasalamatan, pero sa ngayon, ibabahagi nalang muna amin ang aming first dance na kasama ang aming mga kaibigang mananayaw/Tala nation HAHAHAHA labyu guysss #JusmarriedNica #Lesbinanza2023."
