A couple took their wedding celebration to a whole new level with an anime-themed wedding.
Elva Sarte and Gian Uygongco chose a fun and non-traditional approach to their union.
The two tied the knot at St. James the Great Parish in Alabang, Muntinlupa, on June 12, 2024.
Even before their special day, Elva and Gian ensured they had a well-executed wedding concept.
They opted for an anime-inspired prenup shoot and pre-wedding video, culminating in a full-blast anime-inspired love story video shown at the wedding reception.
Their wedding giveaways were artbooks—anime-inspired, too.
For their prenup shoot, Elva and Sarte dressed up as cosplayers.
The bride donned a Cardcaptor Sakura costume while the groom portrayed Mylnar from Arknights.

NEWLYWED COUPLE'S UNIQUE WEDDING VIDEOS
Their pre-wedding video stood out for its originality, created by the videography studio Kreative Machines.
It is vertically split into two sections: the top half featuring the couple's pre-wedding video, while the bottom half shows scenes from the film Shrek.
The concept cleverly (though not enirely) paralleled the scenes.
Caption for the video read as follows: "In a fairytale setting where love conquers all, we brought our dream to life with a whimsical Shrek-inspired pre-wedding video. From enchanted forests timeless melodies, our story unfolds with humor, heart, and a touch of magic..."

On the other hand, the giveaway, which is an artbook, is a colorful collection of anime-inspired illustrations of couples.
On X (formerly Twitter), a netizen (@proxie_error) posted pictures showing pages of the colorful artbook.
The netizen commented, “The wedding giveaway was this artbook filled with commissions that the bride and groom had done (or gifted to each other) throughout their relationship.
“It includes the name of the artist + their socials so ppl can comm them too!”

But the ultimate highlight of all these modern artistic concepts of the wedding was the anime-themed love-story video of the couple, which was played on a huge screen at the reception for the attendees to see.
The two-minute video encapsulated the love story of Elva and Gian told through a colorful, vivid, and fast-paced anime that was accompanied by a heart-warming musical score.
Netizen @proxie_error posted a video from the reception, capturing attendees' audible sighs, laughter, and emotional reactions.
The amazing animation was created by artist Juju Bacani, a.k.a. JujuArts.

A wedding is a once-in-a-lifetime event—at least for most people—which is why making it memorable is so important, as Elva and Gian did with theirs.
