Judy Ann Santos was hit by a wave of nostalgia as her youngest daughter, Luna Agoncillo, celebrated her 9th birthday on January 8, 2025.
On Instagram, she put out a gallery of photos showcasing Luna's precious moments, including an adorable photo of her holding a pancake birthday cake right before blowing out her 9th birthday candle.
In the caption, Judy Ann expressed her bittersweet emotions about watching Luna grow up so quickly, while also feeling excited about the amazing journey that lies ahead for her daughter.
She wrote (published as is), "[emoji] N I N E [emoji]. Oh our dear potpot… how can you be nine already??
"As much as i want to stop time , and keep you my baby forever.. im also excited to see what the universe has in store for you when you grow up.. [emoji]."
Judy Ann ended her post with a promise that she and husband Ryan Agoncillo will always be there for her.
She continued:
"always keep that kind and grateful heart that you have..
"mommy and daddy is so so proud of you my love..
"we love you to the moon and back and back again. Happy birthday sweet sweet bunny:,[emoji]"
THE MANY THINGS LUNA CAN DO
Among her three children, Luna is the one most likely to follow in her parents' footsteps.
During a luncheon with the press on December 22, 2024, the award-winning actress Judy Ann revealed, "May bago siyang pangarap."
After participating in McDonald's Stripes Run, Luna told her mom, "I wanna be a voice actor."
Judy Ann replied, "Oh, voice actor. For what?"
Luna said, "For Pixar, for Disney."
The actress shared the backstory:
"Kasi nagsimula iyan, McDo Stripes Run kami, may storytelling kami.
"Tapos sabi ni Ry [Ryan's nickname], 'Oh, do you wanna join me? The first story, ganyan.
"[Sagot ni Luna], 'Yeah, I can do it...'
"Nag-practice siya. Doon niya sinabi na, I wanna be a voice actor. Kasi parang cartoons naman din talaga yung boses niya, e. At saka ano siya? Yung very animated."
Luna seems to have inherited not only her dad's hosting talent but also her mom's party-planning skills.
"Iba rin siya mag-host... Para siyang party planner. Gusto niya may andar lahat. Ultimo yung aso namin si Sherlock, pinaghandaan niya yung first birthday. Ganon siya.
"Tapos pag movie night, kailangan, kung ano iyan may required siyang attire, outfit. Wear something pink. Everyone should be in pajamas.
"Tapos nasa kuwarto na kami lahat, palalabasin pa kami ulit para kunyari may ticket. May gano'n. May production number...
"Events organizer talaga siya. Gusto niya, naggagawa ng games. Gusto niya masaya. Gusto niya everybody's included. Meron siyang andar."
It was also Luna who started the tradition of decorating their Christmas tree.
Judy Ann recalled, "Sabi niya, 'Mom, can we be the one to put the decorations? Let's start the tradition. Na tayo yung maglalagay ng decorations. Siyempre in English, di ba? Pero kinakausap ko sila ng Tagalog. Mas madalas.
"So let's start the tradition. Sabi ko, 'Okay, sige, ilatag mo na.'"
Judy Ann left for work after their conversation, and when she returned, she was met with a surprise:
"Nagre-report. 'Mom, I laid down the decorations already. Ganyan, ganyan, ganyan.
"Pagpasok ko, meron na siya pa-Christmas carols. Tapos meron siya after dinner, gumawa siya ng hot milk para sa boys, kay daddy at siya kay kuya, tea para sa akin.
"Tapos, feel na feel lang niya yung paglalagay ng decorations."
Luna is also creative and conscientious.
"Pag may bagyo, gagawa siya ng poster. Save the trees. Stop cutting trees. Save the earth."
