Filipino ENGENEs were treated to a delightful surprise as ENHYPEN’s Sunoo made a whirlwind visit to the Philippines.
On July 9, 2025, the K-pop idol attended the grand opening of South Korean fashion brand 8 Seconds’ first international flagship store at SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City.



Even with the unexpected appearance, Filipino ENGENEs went above and beyond.
According to reports, over 2,000 fans filled the venue with cheers.

Sunoo arrived at around 4:21 P.M. for the ribbon-cutting ceremony, joining (L-R) Bryan Lim, Suyen Corp.'s Vice President of Business Development; South Korean Ambassador Sanghwa Lee; Jo-Dann Darong, director of the Bureau of Competitive Department; Joon-Seo Lee, CEO of Samsung Fashion; Ben Chan, chairman of Suyen Corp.; Pasay City Councilor Luigi Calixto-Rubiano; Virgilio Lim, president of Suyen Corp.; Heu-Jin Ko, executive vice president of 8seconds Division; Steven Tan, president of SM Supermalls.

Following the event, Sunoo toured the store, where a few fortunate guests were treated to a photo session with him and a shopping spree.
Sunoo left the venue after 10 minutes, leaving fans in awe of his visuals, also referred to as his "face card" in Gen Z lingo.
On X (formerly Twitter), one user exclaimed: "sunoo soooooo pogiii !!!! face card never disappoints [emoji]," while another commented, "SUNOO FACE CARD TOP [emojis]."




Similarly, PEP’s Instagram post about Sunoo’s arrival was filled with comments about his charm and plenty of heart emojis.

CELEBRITIES SPOTTED
Also spotted at the popular fashion brand’s Philippine launch were Allen Ansay, Sofia Pablo, Antonio Vinzon, and Michelle Dee.

Drawing more people to the event were K-pop sensation HORI7ON and P-Pop group VXON.


The event featured appearances by former Pinoy Big Brother housemates Kai Montinola, Kira Balinger, and Jameson Blake; model Ann Umali; and former Miss Universe Philippines titleholder Bea Luigi Gomez.




Meanwhile, Teejay Marquez, Maria Gigante, Krishnah Gravidez, and Mark Ian Garcia enjoyed a shopping session.

In June 2025, Enhypen unveiled its sixth mini album, Desire: Unleash, which includes eight dance-pop tracks like "Loose" and "Bad Desire (With or Without You)."
Its latest single, "Shine on Me," was released on July 3, 2025.
The group last performed in the Philippines during its Walk the Line tour at the Philippine Sports Stadium in Bulacan on March 1, 2025.
Before that, in December 2024, the members held a fan meet in Manila.
