K-pop superband DAY6 made a triumphant return to the Philippines for the Manila stop of their 10th anniversary concert, The Decade, held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on January 24, 2026.

Fueled by the electrifying energy and ear-splitting cheers of Filipino MyDay, Sungjin, Young K, Wonpil, and Dowoon delivered an almost non-stop, high-octane performance, powering through their most beloved hits in a near three-hour musical spectacle.

The Decade was presented by Live Nation Philippines.

Beyond the powerful setlist, Filipino fans were delighted by the members’ heartfelt attempts to speak Tagalog—an effort that instantly sent the crowd into a frenzy.

“Kumusta po kayo? Ako po si Wonpil,” said the vocalist-keyboardist after their first set, before adding in Korean, “Na-miss ko po kayo.”

“Mabuhay, ako po si Sungjin,” greeted the group’s leader, vocalist, and guitarist, drawing loud cheers as he bowed to the crowd.

“Magandang gabi po. Ako po si Young K,” said the bassist and vocalist.

“Kumusta kayong lahat? Ako si Dowoon,” added the group’s drummer and maknae.

Young K reminded fans that it had only been 11 months since DAY6 last performed in the Philippines for their Forever Young concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on February 22, 2025. This time, the band returned to a much bigger venue—allowing more Filipino MyDay to join the celebration.

Having lived and studied in Canada, Young K checked in with the crowd in fluent English: “How you guys been? You guys have been good? You guys have been eating well? Sleeping well? Living good?”

During their opening ment, Young K exclaimed, “Right now, the energy level is crazy… Bravo!”

A few songs later, Wonpil couldn’t help but comment on the atmosphere inside the arena. “This is hot. So hot. So hot.”

Through an interpreter, he added, “Sobrang ingay ngayon. Grabe, simula pa lang natin. Paano na kaya mamaya? Mahaba pa ang kailangan niyong tiisin.”

Wonpil promised that the band would match the audience’s passion with their very best—and they delivered.

DAY6 performed a total of 31 songs spanning their decade-long discography, from their debut track “Congratulations” to their latest title songs “Dream Bus” and “Inside Out.”

While every song was met with thunderous cheers, two segments stood out and drew the loudest reactions.

The first was a soulful run featuring “You Were Beautiful,” “Letting Go,” “I Smile,” and “You Make Me.”

The second was an explosive set of hard-hitting anthems: “Love Me or Leave Me,” “WARNING!,” “Sweet Chaos,” and “Shoot Me.”

It was evident that DAY6 was in peak form—hitting soaring high notes, extending arrangements, and adding extra flair to match the overwhelming energy of their Pinoy fans, who responded with what may have been the loudest screams and cheers of the band’s entire world tour.

It was truly a night to remember—an unforgettable celebration of a decade of music, passion, and the unbreakable bond between DAY6 and Filipino MyDay.

From Curiosity to Conversion: Experiencing DAY6 Live in Manila

This writer attended DAY6’s The Decade concert with a balikbayan friend visiting from San Francisco, California—walking into the show almost completely blind.

While he considers himself a K-pop fan, it was his first time seeing DAY6 live, and he knew very little about their music going in.

In fact, he was genuinely surprised to see a full band setup on stage. His idea of K-pop had always revolved around tightly choreographed girl groups and boy groups that sing and dance.

What followed turned out to be one of the biggest and most unexpected concert surprises of his life.

Dennis del Corro described his experience to PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal): "Honestly, I walked into the SM Mall of Asia Arena on January 24 knowing almost nothing about DAY6. I knew the name—and that was pretty much it.

"What truly caught me off guard was realizing that K-pop could mean a full-on rock band—drums pounding, electric guitars wailing, and zero reliance on backing tracks.

"This was real talent on display. Playing instruments while performing at that level is no easy feat, and DAY6 made it look effortless.

"The energy inside the arena was unlike anything I had experienced. Fans who call themselves MyDay were loud—singing every song at the top of their lungs.

"The members kept pointing it out, repeatedly saying how insanely high the energy was and how much they loved the Manila crowd. And you could tell—they were feeding off it.

"For a solid three hours, the band powered through what felt like hit after hit. As Erwin pointed out, they’d play a run of songs, pause briefly to talk to the crowd, then dive right back in as if they hadn’t already been performing nonstop. It never dragged, not even for a moment.

"The production only elevated the experience: pyrotechnics bursting at just the right moments, lasers slicing through the arena, smoke machines, sparks, and showers of confetti. It was a visual spectacle without ever overshadowing the music.

"One of the most touching moments came when the show briefly paused for a fan-made video played on the big screen. The entire arena stood still, watching together—a quiet, emotional contrast to the chaos before and after.

"When DAY6 returned for the encore, the audience somehow found even more energy. Everyone was singing, dancing, jumping—giving the loudest, most unrestrained response of the night.

"Even without knowing all the songs, the vibe of the DAY6 concert was completely infectious.

"The members were perfectly in sync, occasionally ad-libbing, clearly enjoying themselves as much as the crowd was.

"By the end of the night, I walked out not just impressed—but converted."
