Regine Angeles cuts short honeymoon: 'Loving-loving can wait'

Regine Angeles plans to enjoy her married life first before having a baby.

Regine Angeles admitted to feeling nervous before she became Mrs. Van Victor Leano last January 29.

“Oo, talagang kinakabahan ako kasi hindi mo alam what’s in store for you, e.

After more than a month, she is, no doubt, enjoying the new chapter of her life.

The caveat: she had to cut short their honeymoon.

She had to go to Bicol to tape scenes for her new TV series We Will Survive, which started airing last Monday, February 29.

Despite her husband’s protest, she decided to accept the project.

“Sabi niya, ‘Teka teka, dapat honeymoon period natin ito, ha! Bakit mo ako iiwan?’

“Siyempre, magtatrabaho muna ako, diyan ka lang."

Regine told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) last February 24, during the grand press conference of We Will Survive, the reason why she decided to choose the project over their honeymoon.

“At saka, at the same time, blessing ito, e. Alangan namang isasangtabi ko just because nagha-honeymoon kami.

“We have our whole lives together para makapag-honeymoon, pero since dumating nga ito, ito muna, di ba?

“Makakapaghintay naman yung mga loving-loving na 'yan!”

Add to this, even if they want to go abroad for a two-week honeymoon, Regine's husband failed to renew his passport!

“Hindi nga kami makaalis kasi yung passport niya, mag-e-expire in six months!

BABY PLANS. Their trip abroad will finally happen this month.

“Ngayong March, aalis kami, pupunta kaming Japan.

"I think mag-U.S. tour si Mamang [Pokwang, her co-star], sinabay ko na.

“Actually, ang Japan namin [with husband] together is April.

Is having a baby part of their immediate plans?

The 30-year-old actress answered, “Actually, pinag-usapan na namin.

“Sabi niya after a year. Ako, gusto ko, after two years.”

She added, “Kasi gusto ko munang i-enjoy namin yung married life together.
