It may seem Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have been married forever, but their wedding happened only two years ago--August 23, 2014, to be exact.
The two tied the knot in a small chapel at the Chateau Miraval, the family's 60-hectare estate in the French village of Correns, Southern France.
The quiet union, witnessed by just 20 guests, was "relaxed and full of laughter."
At that time, the Mr. and Mrs. Smith stars have been together for nearly a decade, and have six children--all of whom participated in the wedding.
Brad told People, "It was important to us that the day was relaxed and full of laughter. It was such a special day to share with our children and a very happy time for our family."
Eldest sons Maddox and Pax--now 15 and 12, respectively--walked their gorgeous mom down the aisle, while flower girls Zahara and Vivienne, 11 and 8 years old, scattered the white petals.
Shiloh and Knox, now 10 and 8, served as the ring bearers.
A slice of the married life....
Did you know it was Pax who baked the special cake?
Angie wore a Versace wedding gown with a veil decorated by the artworks of their six children.
Meanwhile, Brad wore a suit from his closet and borrowed a tie from one of his sons.
More than a year after the wedding, in an interview with Glamour, the actress talked about the realities of marriage.
"...you go through hard times and that you have to embrace those hard times and challenges and know that it's a part of your marriage."
She shared, "It's the pulling through together that actually makes the bond."
The couple sold their wedding photos to People and Hello! magazines for the reported sum of five million dollars, which went to Jolie-Pitt Foundation.
