Samantha Godinez-Valenciano gave birth to her first child with husband Paolo Valenciano earlier today, November 2, 2016, at 1:21 a.m.
The couple named their baby Nataleia "Leia" Martine.
She weighed 7.9 lbs.
In the Instagram account of @manilagenesis, the talent management company owned by Paolo's parents Gary Valenciano and Angeli Pangilinan, it mentioned that the first-time mom and baby are doing fine.
Gary, a first-time grandfather, remarked, "I'm speechless, dumbfounded... blessed... I remember Paolo...the day he was born."
Paolo, for his part, told Manila Genesis, "I'll never look at a mother the same way again. They are the superior species! I can't believe I'm a dad."
Meanwhile, Sam had a scary costume made for her baby in case she arrives before the Halloween.
Both Paolo and Sam's family were present during the latter's labor period.
Paolo's wife Samantha is the daughter of Jaime and Gina Godinez, who happens to be the sister of Martin Nievera.
Gary's eldest son and Martin's niece tied the knot on February 7, 2013, at Manila Polo Club, Forbes Park, Makati City.
