Ashley Ortega was indeed #dASHingAt18.
Ash (her nickname) threw a party on December 27, 2016, the day after her actual birthday, at the Le Reve Pool Party Venue and Events Place in Quezon City.
The debutante looked lovely in her sparkling red Danie Baron dress.
Her glam team: Albert Kurniawan for the makeup and Mark Anthony Rosales for her hair.
How does she feel now that she's "legal"?
"I'm kinda nervous and excited, but it's not just about legality."
She tells PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), "I feel that I just need to be more responsible and encounter things maturely.
"I'm not rushing things."
Prior to her party, Ash told PEP that she was very hands on with the preparations for her special night.
"I have no events planner," she said, adding that she got some help from her mom Kathleen.
During the party, PEP had the chance to talk to the Kapuso star's mom, whose birthday wish for Ash, "Sana matupad niya lahat ng pangarap niya, and good health, of course.
"Lahat naman ng parents, mommies, siyempre, sana mabigyan na siya ng break."
Her German mom underlined, "Sana siyempre wag muna siya magbo-boyfriend. Bata pa siya."
With her siblings, sister Alyzza and brother Malcom, who was the night's host together with Kapuso newbie Arianne Bautista.
The debutante was escorted by her "close friend" Prinz Singson.
On Instagram, Ash posted a photo of Prinz's gift: a Tiffany & Co. necklace, which she wore that evening.
Along with the photo was a sweet note that read, "You were my best birthday gift and this is my second best birthday gift. Thank you...."
Regarding her debut, Ashley said, "I want it simple and intimate lang, what's necessary for me is that all the important people in my life will be there."
Most of the people who came to the party were non-showbiz: schoolmates and skating friends.
Only a few of her colleagues in the business were invited because she wanted "people to see this debut not as Ash Ortega's birthday, but as Ashleigh Nordstrom Samson's."
Celebrities spotted were Jeric Gonzales, Phytos Ramirez, Oh My Mama! cast mate Jake Vargas, Lharby Policarpio, Ken Chan, Inah de Belen, and Arianne.
Paul Salas (far left) and Michelle Vito (third from right) were also in attendance.
Dom Roque was one of Ashley's 18 roses.
Her last dance was her "special someone" Prinz.
