Shamcey Supsup and Lloyd Lee had a triple celebration last January 24, at the Il Centro in Sta. Lucia East Grand Mall.
It was the first birthday of their baby Nyla Kelcey Lee or Nyke, her dedication, and the opening of their restaurant Pedro n Coi's sixth branch.
Baby Nyke party was inspired by Filipino fiesta.
"Sobrang happy, sobrang blessed," the former beauty queen told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal).
"As we expand our family, we are also expanding our business. Sobrang happy ako kasi, naba-balance ang family life and our work.”
She and Lloyd celebrated their third anniversary as a married couple last December, and they're "going stronger."
Shamcey elaborated, "We’re learning more with each other.
"Parang feeling ko, as time goes on, yung relationship namin, meron talaga kaming common ground.
"Even as family, even sa work, nagkakasundo kami.
"Kung meron man kaming konting disagreements, maliliit lang, and we we’re able to talk about it."
It seems like she has already adjusted to her role as a mom.
Did she ever go through postpartum depression?
"Dumaan din, siguro mga two months,” she admitted.
"It was really hard. I was preparing for a normal delivery, but then, na-cs [Cesarean Section] ako. So, hindi ako prepared for that.
"Then, breastfeeding, nahirapan din ako.
"Dumating ang time na hindi ako nakakatulog, umiiyak ako. Kasi nga, parang ang hirap magpadede ng baby, walang tulog.
"I had to recover from my C-section. Dumating talaga.
"Buti na lang, I have a very supportive family, even the lolos and lolas, sila talaga, palaging nandun kay Nyke.
"Noong nakalabas-labas na rin ako, yun, medyo napalitan din yung postpartum ng happiness."
Are they planning to have another baby soon?
It was Lloyd who answered, "Na kay Shamcey po iyan, kasi, katawan po niya yun. Pero ako, siyempre, gusto ko rin makita kung magkaanak kami ng boy."
He added in jest, "Pero si Sham, sabi niya, kapag ready na raw siya, kakalabitin na lang daw niya ko."
