The end of Miss Universe 2016 leaves a bittersweet note for the 86 beauty queens who spent almost a month here in the Philippines.
After all, the pageant didn't just give the ladies a once-in-a-lifetime experience, but one-of-a-kind friendships, too.

The candidates found themselves "queen sisters" and allies throughout the entire three weeks.

Before her coronation, Iris Mittenaere celebrated her birthday in Manila!
The two ladies did a "happy dance."
Yam's message to Iris: "I had the best experience ever and I got to meet closely and sleep two weeks with the new miss universe !! My roomie!! Proud and love you!!"
Miss Venezuela Mariam Habach and Miss Philippines Maxine Medina
Since they were part of the same ancillary events, Marian Habach (left) and Maxine Medina (right) clicked.
