On December 17, 2016, Erwan Heussaff and Anne Curtis surprised everyone with the news that they were already engaged.
Erwan made the official announcement via his YouTube channel in his post titled "Going Around New York City and Connecticut (Best Trip Ever)."
The last few minutes of the video highlight a montage of his travels with Anne for the past six years that they've been together.
At the end, we saw Anne sitting in the middle of Steep Rock Preserve in Washington Depot, Connecticut and watching a video on a tablet.
We watched her emotional reaction as Erwan got down on his knees and popped the question.
Fast forward to today, November 11, the groom-to-be posted a part of the video that Anne watched before he asked the question.
The video was a compilation of their grand travels around the world with Erwan professing his love for his bride-to-be through the words of Anne's all-time favorite author, Paulo Coelho.
His video narration began, "It's funny how you never truly know what you want until it's right there in front of you—breathing hard, almost hitting you in the face.
"A blind man, realizing he needs color in his life.
"It's like a slap that wakes you up in the middle of the night when you're all alone in bed.
"You don't know where it comes from, yet it feels so real and important.
"Sometimes things just make sense.
"Now I know that's an oversimplification of what love is—it fits and it hurts at the same time.
"The true duality of the universe.
"The want of another person to go through this crazy journey with you.
"This was not the most fantastic story ever told.
"No wars, no battle, no crusades undertaken, but its realness makes it the truest tale.
"Two people who happen to find each other and fought hard to end up together."
Erwan then lifted quotes from one of Anne's favorite books The Alchemist, which was written by Paulo Coelho.
"The Alchemist taught us this: 'That it was the pure language of the world.
"'It required no explanation, just as the universe need none as it travels through endless time.
"''What the boy felt at the moment was that he was in the presence of the only woman in his life, and that, with no need for words, she recognized the same thing.
"'He was more certain of it than anything in the world…
"'And when two such people encounter each other, and their eyes meet, the past and the future become unimportant…
"'There is only that moment, and the incredible certainty that everything under the sun has been written by one hand only.
"'It is the hand that evokes love, and creates its twin soul for every person in the world.
"'Without such love, one's dreams would have no meaning.'
"So now, what do these dreams hold? That's for another time."
Erwan revealed that this post was only the last two minutes of a 15-minute video.
Erwan and Anne will be tying the knot tomorrow in Queenstown, New Zealand.
