There’s a saying that goes "You can’t buy love," but that doesn’t stop these celebrity couples from expressing their love for each other in the most extravagant ways possible.
While it's not uncommon for celebrities to splurge on expensive gifts for their respective partners, some couples choose to forego the material gift and create an experience instead.
But these experiences also don't come easy on the pocket.
Whether it's for a birthday, an anniversary, or the Day of Hearts, these celebrity couples have shown that actions do speak louder than words!
Here are the most bongga ways they celebrated their love:
Luxurious staycation. February is a special month for Heart Evangelista.
Not only does Valentine’s Day coincide with her birthday, she also celebrates her wedding anniversary with Senator Chiz Escudero the day after.
In 2017 during Valentine's week, the busy couple managed to squeeze in some special time for their second wedding anniversary.
They booked a romantic staycation at Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila.
Senator Chiz then treated his wife to a candlelit dinner by the hotel’s seafront.
This dinner package came with its own chef and butler, and a five-course gourmet meal.
Their extravagant dinner was worth PHP20,000.
Chopper ride to Tagaytay. Billy Crawford and Coleen Garcia celebrated their second anniversary on July 23, 2016, with a helicopter ride to Tagaytay City.
It was Billy’s trick to skip the dreadful Manila traffic and to maximize their quality time together out of town.
Such a trip roughly costs PHP150,000.
Yacht surprise. Xian Lim always has something special prepared for Kim Chiu, whether it’s for the Star Magic Ball, her birthday or for Valentine’s Day.
Last year, Xian surprised Kim with a hiking adventure to the Mt. Pinatubo Crater Lake.
After a rigorous hike, they were rewarded with a view of the marvelous lake.
But one of the most bongga surprises Xian gave Kim was back in 2013 when the Ina, Kapatid, Anak co-stars celebrated Valentine’s Day on a yacht.
Kim recounted on an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), “Nag-Subic din [si Xian.]
“Sabi niya, may shoot daw siya doon.
“Sabi niya, ‘Punta kayo dito sa Subic Yacht Club.’
“Sabi ko, ‘Ano’ng meron? Sige na nga, pero sandali lang kami kasi mangangabayo pa kami ng mga kapatid ko.’
“Then, noong pagpunta, may pa-yacht si Kuya! Nagulat naman kami!
“Kasama ko yung pamangkin ko, yung ate ko, at saka isang kaibigan ko.
“Ayun, nag-ikot kami for three hours at may pa-design naman siya sa yate.”

Opening a flower shop. Dingdong Dantes often goes all-out when expressing his love for Marian Rivera.
Of course, Dingdong's most recent gesture of love was his anniversary video tribute for their third wedding anniversary.
But among all of his gifts to his wife, what tops the list is when the Kapuso actor gave Marian not just an elaborate bouquet of flowers, but her very own flower shop.
Dingdong surprised Marian with a Department of Trade and Industry permit in Christmas 2016.
This gave birth to the online shop, Flora Vida.
Hong Kong day trip. Ryan Agoncillo didn’t need any reason to treat Judy Ann Santos out to a day trip in Hong Kong.
Yes, in Hong Kong.
“Nakapangasawa ako ng rock star, e,” Judy Ann quipped when she recounted her out-of-the-blue trip with her husband back in June 2016.
Ryan asked Judy Ann to clear out her schedule on a Wednesday because they were going somewhere.
Judy Ann wanted to prepare herself beforehand, but Ryan remained tight-lipped about the details of his plan.
Before that Wednesday, the Eat Bulaga! host told his wife to prepare a “nice traveling dress.”
The Ang Dalawang Mrs. Reyes actress asked, “Why?
“Sabi niya, ‘I booked us a reservation at Joel Robuchon.’ Sabi ko, ‘Saan?’ ‘In Hong Kong!’
“Sabi ko, ‘What?! Talaga?!
“Sabi niya, ‘Oo!’”
Joel Robuchon is a famous three-star Michelin chef, who owns several restaurants around Asia, Europe, and North America.
His restaurant in Hong Kong is the most accessible one from Manila.
Aside from this surprise, Ryan had an even bigger one in store for Judy Ann.
Upon arriving in Hong Kong, the couple went to a Godiva store at the International Finance Center Mall in the Central District.
Ryan appeared to have already spoken to someone beforehand and he was given a paper bag.
The paper bag was filled with black truffles, expensive edible mushrooms and one of the most prized ingredients in the culinary world.
“Nagwawala ako, ‘Black truffles, black truffles!’” Judy Ann continued.
“E, matagal ko ng gustong subukang magluto ng black truffles.
“Yung black truffles na yun, seasonal lang siyang dumarating pala sa Hong Kong…”
This gesture brought Judy Ann to tears, “Aba malay ko ba namang iiyak ako, 'no?
“Iyak ako nang iyak kasi not only for the black truffles but the thought of you know, yung extent ng effort, at saka yung trip namin, talagang ano lang siya, para kaming mag-boyfriend!
“Yung naka-trolley lang kami, lakad lang kami nang lakad, tapos train lang, walang hotel.
“Train, walang taxi. Train kami, lakad, kain, ikot konti, train, balik-airport.
