Saab Magalona and Jim Bacarro are happy to finally have their son, Pancho Gerardo, home!
Through her social media accounts, the new mom revealed on April 4 that their son has been discharged from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, where he stayed for almost three months.
Saab thanked the entire team of doctors and nurses who took care of Pancho.
Her caption read: “Graduated from the NICU yesterday!! We’re very happy to leave but sad to say goodbye to Pancho’s wonderful, hardworking, and sweet nurses (some of them not in photo huhu) [heart emoji]
“Thank you for believing in him. @jimbacarro and I will forever be grateful for you all!! [crying emoji]”
In her blog entry last March 6, the 29-year-old celebrity wrote about the complications and heartbreak she and her twins had gone through after giving birth in February.
“Our baby boy is still in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
“The doctors initially said he was in critical condition.
“He has fought through so many complications and had to undergo surgery and is thankfully doing much better today.”
Saab unfortunately lost her baby girl and Pancho’s twin sister, Luna Isabel, on February 8.
She continued, “So many things happened in the last month.
“There are so many people we could blame and be angry with, but each time we hold our boy, we think otherwise.
“He’s been fighting to be part of this world and it’s our responsibility to make it one that is forgiving—one that tries to see the best in other people.”
Thankfully, after these hard months, Pancho finally left the hospital.
Saab’s mom, Pia Magalona, was one of the first family members to greet him at home.
