Film director Gino M. Santos graces the launch of Zalora's pop-up store for Abercrombie & Fitch on Tuesday night, April 24, at Greenbelt 5 in Makati City.

Director Gino M. Santos's trip to Balesin Island for Coleen Garcia and Billy Crawford's wedding is probably one of his most memorable vacations.

The 28-year-old film director-producer was among the members of Coleen's "bride's squad" at her wedding held on Friday, April 20, at the private luxury island resort in Polillo, Quezon Province.

PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) caught up with the director at the launch of Zalora's pop-up store for Abercrombie & Fitch on Tuesday night, April 24, at Greenbelt 5 in Makati City.

He recalled, "Super fun, I was there Thursday 'til Sunday.

"It was very intimate.

"It was really friends and family lang talaga.

"Sobrang nag-bonding lang ako with Coleen's friends, the other bridesmaids.

"It was really fun, super fun siya."

Coleen and Gino have known each other since they were kids.

Gino recalled, "We used to model for the same clothing brand before.

"I was like 12 years old, and she was like nine.

"And she looks exactly the same then and now, shrink nga lang yung body niya [noon]."

The Sin Island director definitely felt honored to be part of Coleen's entourage.

He told PEP.ph, "It was funny 'cause Coleen said I'll be part of her entourage.

"I thought it was a joke and when she told me, 'You're gonna be a bride's man, you and Matteo [Gancayco].' Like, 'Are you kidding me?' 'Okay sige ganyan.'

"Technically, I think my job was to look as pretty as the other girls, make sure every thing goes okay.

"Wala, sobrang chill. I was just really honored to be part of the squad 'cause, you know, I've known Coleen since she was nine years old, I directed most of her films.

"And yun, I'm happy and honored that she placed me in that position na really close friends and family talaga."

When asked what was the best part of the Kapamilya couple's wedding, Gino answered, "I think the best part of the wedding was really when there's no more cameras.

"Talon na kami lahat sa pool, we're all drinking, and it was such a casual thing.

"You could really see Coleen and Billy sobrang comfortable with all her friends and family.

"And if you see the photos nga, makikita mo na they're making faces na, naka-tsinelas na lang sila, yung ganun.

"I think that's the best part na they were able to enjoy and party freely without being judged.

"Kasi lahat kami we're friends and family, and we're just there for them."

Having been able to witness the couple's journey since they started, Gino felt that he doesn't have any other advice for them now that they're married.

Gino said, "Of course, like they said naman in their vows, they always want to put God first and family second. That's such a great example.

"Coleen knows what she's doing, and Billy loves Coleen so much, and wala na akong mabibigay na advice sa kanila, e.

"They already know what they want."

One thing he does wish for the couple is to have their own kid soon.

Of course, Gino is open to becoming a ninong of the couple's future baby.

The director said, "I hope they have a baby soon pero sabi ni Coleen wag pa muna, e, work muna.

"But if they have a baby, I'm so excited to see what the baby looks like.

"I'm sure they would look beautiful like Coleen and Billy."
