This June is turning out to be a very special month for former beauty queen-turned-entrepreneur Shamcey Supsup and her husband Lloyd Lee.

Shamcey and Lloyd have a lot to celebrate this month—their resto business' third anniversary, Lloyd's 37th birthday, and of course, Father's Day.

In an Instagram post last June 7, Shamcey expressed her unwavering love for her husband on his birthday.

She wrote, "Happiest Birthday to the love of my life, the yang to my yin, my travel buddy, business partner and the only person i want to spend the rest of my life with. No matter how old you get, you will always be my forever crush."

In an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) on Thursday, June 14, Shamcey narrated another thing she's grateful for about her husband Lloyd.

Shamcey said, "Si Lloyd naman, very calm siya when it comes to raising our firstborn.

"Ako yung mas medyo aligaga na parang panic mommy.

"Pero siya, siya yung mas kalmado.

"Parating, 'Okay lang yan, wag ka masyado mag-worry or ma-stress.' Ano siya, very chill."

Lloyd agreed, "Siguro dahil kung may tensiyonadong isa sa amin, yung isa dapat mas kalmado."

PEP.ph caught up with the couple at the grand opening of their Pedro N' Coi restaurant's 7th branch in Resorts World Manila, Pasay City.

FAMILY LIFE. Shamcey and Lloyd have a two-year-old daughter named Nyla Kelcey, whom they fondly call Nyke.

Lloyd said they now have a better grasp of their parental responsibilities now that Nyke is growing older and will soon have a baby sister.

The Filipino-Chinese businessman, however, noted that nothing really drastic has changed when it comes to his relationship with his wife.

He expounded, "Ngayon pa lang nagsi-sink in na parang parents kami talaga.

"The same naman, e. Wala namang nagbago sa relationship namin.

"Mula boyfriend-girlfriend kami up to ngayon, mas madalas lang kami magkasama.

"Kasi yun naman din yung pinili namin na path kaya kami gumawa ng sariling negosyo, which is food."

He continued, "Wala masyadong nagbago.

"Kumbaga, nagkaroon lang kami ng addition sa family.

"Si Nyke nandiyan and happy kami, kasi parang hindi mo ma-expect pag meron kang baby, e.

"Everyday, iba-iba yung pinapakita niyang development.

"So nasu-surprise kami every now and then, pero wala masyadong difference.

"Ganun pa rin kami—mag-bestfriend, kung ano kami as magboyfriend-girlfriend."

PARENTING. When asked as to who's stricter as a parent, Shamcey said none of them really prefer playing good cop or bad cop when it comes to disciplining their daughter.

She told PEP.ph, "I think both of us, although ako siguro it took me a while before ako naging strict.

"Kasi nung bago talaga, ayokong umiiyak [yung baby].

"Hindi ako sanay. Parang feeling ko, parang nasasaktan ko yung bata kapag umiiyak.

"'Tapos, sabi nila wala namang mangyayari kung umiyak.

"I mean, kung gusto mo disiplinahin, hayaan mo siyang umiyak or ipakita mo na mali yung ginawa niya, ganyan.

"So now, mas natututunan ko na. Before kasi, parang ako yung nasasaktan pag umiiyak, ganyan.

"Pero ngayon, sabi ko, 'Oo nga, hindi puwede.' Baka ma-spoil."

The 32-year-old celebrity mom further noted that both parents should share the same ideals and values when it comes to raising a child.
