Rich Asuncion is pregnant.
Her husband Benjamin Mudie celebrated his birthday on July 31, and was given the best kind of gift: a baby.
Rich's Instagram post read: "Happy birthday soon-to-be-Daddy!!! (emojis) - From me and your little one."
She also made a video to mark the start of their "unexpected" journey towards parenthood.
The post read: "Today is a more special day than just my husband’s birthday.
"I’m happy to announce our family is about to grow by 1 and we wish to invite you all to share the experience with us as I journey through life as a wife and a mother-to-be."
Rich and Benjamin had a civil union last May 28, in Hong Kong.
Forgoing the usual celebrity destination wedding fanfare, the Kapuso actress and Filipino-Australian rugby player decided to keep their ceremony simple and straightforward.
Their wedding was attended by only a handful of family members and close friends that included fellow GMA-7 celebrities Sunshine Dizon, Glaiza de Castro, and Sheena Halili.

Rich and Benjamin got engaged in April 2017. They became a couple in 2015.
