Stylist to the stars Kimi Yap just got married... and her wedding looked like a dreamy scene from a fairy tale book!
Kimi, along with her sister Boop Yap, is the stylist of some of the country's biggest stars; including Kathryn Bernardo, Julia Barretto, Erich Gonzales, and Kris Aquino.
Kimi and her long-time partner Jarvis Sy tied the knot Saturday, October 13, after almost 10 years of being together.
THE BRIDE AND THE GROOM
Kimi looked radiant while walking down the aisle in her custom-made Michael Cinco wedding gown.
The internationally-renowned Filipino designer shared details of Kimi's wedding gown on Instagram:
"The gorgeous bride KIMI YAP @kimiyap weds in a couture 5-meter train Michael Cinco wedding gown with intricate embroideries with Swarovski crystals...The lavish flower set is by the super talented @gideonhermosa...Thank you @patdy11 for the beautiful photos..."
Make-up artist Albert Kurniawan and hairstylist Chris Rodil, on the other hand, helped prepare Kimi's bridal look for the wedding.
On Instagram, Albert shared his best wishes for the couple: "My profession has led me to see a lot of beautiful marriages, and it’s really fulfilling when I see the brides I work with walk down the aisle on one of the happiest days of their lives. Much more so when the bride is a friend of mine. Today, I’m truly happy to see @kimiyap marry her dream guy. You’re such a gem, Kimi, and you deserve all the happiness in the world. Congratulations on such a beautiful wedding!"
Jarvis, on the other hand, wore a black and white suit from Tom Ford.
The couple's wedding ceremony was held at Santuario de San José Parish in Mandaluyong City.
Event stylist Gideon Hermosa worked his magic and made the church look like a scene from the Hollywood blockbuster Crazy Rich Asians.
He installed luxe golden mirror flooring and filled the venue with gypsophila.
Kimi's sister Boop was her matron of honor.
Dra. Vicki Belo and Hayden Kho's daughter, Scarlet Snow, led Kimi's flower girls.
Erich and Kath, along with fashion designer Pat Santos, are part of Kimi's bridesmaids
Kris Aquino, despite her health condition, made it to the wedding. She was one of the couple's ninangs.
Here's the couple's first kiss as husband and wife:
Julia Barretto (third from left) shared the table with (L-R) RB Chanco, Erich Gonzales, John Valle, Denise Ochoa, Alex Gonzaga and boyfriend Mikee Morada.
Kaya Abad attended the wedding with husband Paul Jake Castillo.
Basketball player Jeron Teng was with his sisters Almira and Alyssa.
The couple's wedding reception was held at the Grand Ballroom of Manila Marriott Hotel in Pasay City.
Contrary to the gold and white palette of the church, Gideon opted for pastel-colored flowers—composed mainly of roses, gladiolus, hydrangeas, orchids, and stock flowers, among many others—for this dreamy and ethereal set-up.
Here's the fancy table set-up:
The couple's guests enjoyed a five-course meal which includes seared jumbo scallops with tomatoes, velvet cauliflower soup, skillet roasted asian sea bass fillet, seared beef rib eye with tiger prawns, and baked alaska home-made strawberry vanilla ice cream.
Here's Kim and Jarvis's first dance as husband and wife:
Jason Dy serenaded the guests and the newly weds with his performance of Eric Benet's "The Last Time."
Moira dela Torre and South Border also performed at the wedding.
Guests also participated in party games, including the classic Rock, Paper, Scissors game which Erich won.
