Zia Dantes is "super ready" to become an ate, says her mom Marian Rivera.
How did the actress and her husband Dingdong Dantes introduce to their tot the idea of having a baby sister?
Marian tells PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and other members of the press at the Prime Mom Club’s holiday workshop, "Actually nung nalaman ko pa lang na buntis ako, sinabi na namin sa kanya.
"Every time na magbi-visit kami sa OB [Gyn], kasama namin siya para nakikita niya sa monitor talaga.
"At gusto namin na involved siya sa lahat ng nangyayari sa bawat pagpunta namin sa OB para at least hindi siya makaramdam ng alam mo yun, 'A, magkakaroon na ako ng kapatid, bakit ganito?'
"So gusto naming i-involve siya, na walang dahilan para magselos siya, na pantay-pantay sila."
Zia will be turning three on November 23. Is she going to have a party?
It can be recalled that the couple are not into throwing huge parties. Dingdong said in one of his previous interviews, "Hindi naman niya maaalala, e."
This year, however, Marian says she let Zia decide how she would want to celebrate her birthday.
"Kasi tinanong ko yung anak ko.
"Sabi ko nga, in fairness dito sa anak ko, sabi ko, "Anak, gusto mo ba sa birthday mo magpa-party tayo with your classmates 'tapos magpi-princess ka?'
"Kasi mahilig siya sa mga princess.
"Sabi niya, 'No, Mama I just want to go to Disneyland.'
"Sa Tokyo. First time ni Zia kasi [sa Disneyland]."
When asked about the little girl's favorite Disney characters, the actress names Anna and Elsa from Frozen.
Marian herself has not been to Tokyo Disneyland, thus, "Hindi ko rin alam kung sino ang makikita namin dun."
Meanwhile, the Dantes family's impersonation of Batman villains went viral during the Halloween break.
Marian was Poison Ivy, Dingdong was Riddler, and Zia was Joker.
Their daughter's "in character" photo had earned thumbs up from the netizens.
Did she coach Zia during the pictorial?
"Well, oo, pero minsan kahit turuan mo ang bata pag ayaw, ayaw, di ba? So siya yung tipo na bata na…naku nasa dugo yata niya!"
Does this mean they are open to letting her join showbiz?
She answers, "Mag-aral muna siya. Mag-aral muna siya."
So, Zia needs to finish college first?
"Sana, oo naman. Iba pa rin ang may pinag-aralan."
The celebrity mom won't say no to commercials though, "pero may certain age kami na up to ganun lang."
