Sharon Cuneta received a special surprise for her 53rd birthday.
Earlier this morning, January 6, the Kapamilya host actress was surprised by their household helpers who gathered inside her room to give her a birthday cake and sing her the "Happy Birthday" song.
Sharon caught everything on video and shared it on her Instagram account.
The Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids judge thanked their household helpers for their sweet gesture: "When your household helpers barge into your room just after you’ve woken up and sing to you the Happy Birthday song with a cake and a gift pa in tow, you just feel so...loved and appreciated on a whole different level.
Sharon also thanked everyone who remembered her special day, including TV host/actress/internet star Kris Aquino.
Unfortunately, she's been under the weather the past few days and still has to recover fully.
The Kapamilya star wrote, "Thank you for all your loving birthday greetings! Thank you to all who have sent beautiful flowers and gifts (Beej, thanks so much! @krisaquino).
"Wala akong nagawa nung Pasko. Gifts remain unwrapped and unsent and I feel so bad...
"But I truly, truly could not stress myself any more than I already was.
"Still recovering from all the fatigue - physically, emotionally, mentally - lahat na ng ending sa “ally.”
"I thank God for this overdue and much needed break. Back to work on my movie soon and am excited!
"For now, am a zombie and can’t do anything about it."
Sharon said she has yet to make a birthday wish list, but she clarified that she doesn't really expect gifts from friends.
"Thank you to all of you who remembered me today - and during the Holidays! Di pa nakakabukas ng gifts after the few from my family.
"I usually make a wishlist for my birthday which my friends ask my assistant Penny for kasi no one knows na what to give me!
"They don’t need to give me anything though. Love is more than enough. I love and miss you guys."
Sharon noted that she has one birthday wish in mind, "Praying that ABS-CBN doesn’t forget to give me a show!?! Ngek."
She ended the post expressing her gratitude to everyone and wrote, "God bless us all. YOU GUYS always make me feel so loved. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Am still a hybernating bear! P.S. Okay I think I’m gonna make a wishlist!"
CHILDREN'S GIFTS
Sharon also posted the gifts she received from her children—Miel, Miguel, and Frankie.
Miel drew her mom's biggest K-pop crush, NCT's Taeyeon, for her birthday. She also wrote her mom a sweet letter.
Sharon wrote on Instagram, "From my Miel who painted my crush from NCT, Taeyong (apart from Lucas and now about 5 more crushes! Hahaha! Seriously I love NCT!!! All units! From Dream (OT7) to U to 127 and now their China Unit WayV (Lucas, Ten, Kun and WinWin plus 3 new members!).
"Missing Hae Chan who broke his shin last Dec. 19 or 20 and won’t be able to perform for at least 6 months total and praying he get well soon.
"I LOVE most of all Miel’s letter. I feel blessed to have my children and am so proud of how they have grown up to be good human beings. Thank you, my Yellie. I love you so much! For Yellie and me and all NCTzens out there: as NCT says, “FIGHTING!” #nctizen"
Miguel, on the other hand, got her mom some flowers and also wrote her a simple birthday note.
Sharon shared a photo of her gifts from Miguel and wrote, "From my sweet, sweet, obedient, handsome son, my good boy Miguel whom I believe truly was meant for me/us. I love you my son, my lovey-dovey Gugie! Thank you so much for the note and flowers!"
Meanwhile, Frankie bought her mom's favorite notebooks for her birthday.
But what Sharon treasured the most was the letter Frankie personally wrote for her.
She posted on Instagram, "And from my Frankie! Who gave me these notebooks as well as her and my favorites, the large mead five star ones in blue, red and green!
"What means the most to me of course, is the letter that came with them. I love my children.
"I’m not celebrating my birthday because I just don’t feel like it. But Kakie insisted on making us tacos for dinner tonight. (She is a fantastic gourmet cook and baker!)
"That’s more than enough for me. For now. My kids saved my birthday this year!
"Thank you my Kakie. I love you with all my heart!"
