Rochelle Pangilinan and Arthur Solinap chose to host the baby shower for their firstborn.
Held at 142 Venue, Katipunan, Quezon City, last night, January 20, the baby shower had the Into the Woods theme.
It also had a rustic feel just like the wedding of Rochelle and Arthur on August 8, 2017.
The mom-to-be told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), "Actually, rustic pa rin, katulad nung wedding.
"Pinatawid namin from wedding to baby shower.And then, tatawid din siya, yung theme niya.
"Hanggang sa ika-one year old ni baby."
Rochelle could already visualize her baby girl's first birthday.
"Ang plano ko, kung maputi siya, Snow White. Kaya may apples sa table.
"Kung hindi masyado, mapunta sa akin ang kulay, morena, marami rin options.
"May Moana, Pocahontas, basta rustic feel pa rin."
Customarily, the friends throw the baby shower.
It was Rochelle who made the decision "para isang puntahan na lang."
She continued, "Tinatanong talaga 'ko ng ibang mga kaibigan for surprise.
"Sabi ko sa kanila, 'Wag na para isang baby shower na lang.'
"Actually, natatamad akong mag-attend talaga. Sabi ko, para isang puntahan na lang.
"Sinabi ko na agad sa kanila ang totoo. Like si Andrea [Torres], tinanong niya ko.
"Sabi niya, e, 'Mars, di ba, dapat surprise iyan?'
"Sabi ko, 'Oo, alam ko. Pero para isang event na lang, punta na lang kayo rito.'"
Another reason, Arthur wanted to be hands-on with the preparations since it was his birthday on January 19.
His dancer-actress wife remarked, "Yun pa nga, birthday niya rin kasi kaya pinili namin ang month na ito.
"Para kaya ko pang makapag-entertain ng friends and pamilya.
"At the same time, birthday rin ng Daddy niya, so, isang celebration na rin."
CELEBRITY GUESTS
The cast of Pepito Manaloto—led by its lead star Michael V—was all there.
Also spotted were Jo Berry and Mikee Quintos, Rochelle's co-stars in the GMA prime-time series Onanay.

DUE DATE
Based on Rochelle's latest ultrasound result, she will probably give birth within the period of February 22 to March 1.
At present, the pregnant star still goes to her Onanay tapings.
Rochelle said, "Sabi naman ng doctor ko, as long as hindi ako nagbi-bleed, I’m safe to work.
"Although siyempre, hindi ko pa rin masabi kung hanggang kailan ako sa Onanay.
"Of course, kung magbi-bleed ako, stop ako agad, kung magbi-bleed lang naman."
Some of her coworkers suggested that her actual delivery can be incorporated in the script.
Smiling, Rochelle continued, "Niloloko nga nila ko sa taping. Doon na lang daw ako manganak sa Onanay.
"Kukunan na lang daw nila ko sa emergency at doon na rin i-reveal si baby, ang face niya."
As early as now, she has already prepared her labor bag.
Have they come up with a name?
She replied, "Ang gusto niya kasi, Shiloh. 'His gift' ang meaning niya sa Bible.
Ang gusto ko naman, marami. Elisha. Gusto ko yung Elisha sana.
"Then, gusto ko yung Bliss kasi, 'perfect joy, supreme joy.'
"Sabi nga ng mga kaibigan namin, pagsamahin niyo kaya, 'Elisha Shiloh.'"
With a laugh, Rochelle quipped, "Ang daming 'sha.' So, wala pa talaga, pinagpi-pray pa namin."
At the end of the interview, Rochelle thanked all the people who made time for the baby shower.
She also left her future daughter a message: "Gagawin namin ang lahat maging maayos lang ang buhay mo.
"Mahal ka namin."
