Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray continues her week-long homecoming celebration today, February 21, as the beauty queen kicks off the first leg of her grand homecoming parade.
The parade begins at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila grounds around 2 p.m., then goes around Manila, specifically Vicente Sotto Street, Roxas Boulevard, Kalaw Street, and Taft Avenue.
Her last stop will be along Ayala Avenue.
Here are photos from the first leg of her homecoming parade:

Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray waves a small Philippine flag as she begins her grand homecoming parade in Manila.
-
Her float draws inspiration from Mak Tumang's now-iconic Mayon-inspired gown, which Catriona wore on her coronation night. The Mikimoto crown—the current crown of Miss Universe titleholders—serves as the float's centerpiece.
-
Speaking of designer Mak Tumang, Catriona tapped him once again to design her homecoming parade look. The designer came up with a Sampaguita-inspired terno. But instead of the usual dress, Mak gave Catriona a pant silhouette.
-
Mak specifically chose sampaguita for its etymology. His Facebook post reads, "Legend has it that its etymology was derived from the Filipino words 'sumpa kita' which mean 'I promise you.'
"This ornamental flower is an inherent part of our landscape since time immemorial..."
-
The sampaguita, our national flower, also symbolizes the concept of "Coming Home." Mak's post continues, "You know you are home when its distinct sweet and aromatic fragrance tickles your olfactory sense.
"Moreover, the flowers are usually slung and made into leis which are used to welcome dignitaries or are being peddled in front of churches so as to become offerings.
"Ergo, it is but fitting that we welcome our Queen with Sampaguitas adorned with Anahaw—our national leaf."
-
Catriona manages to stay cheerful, even under the Manila heat. She waves to the crowd and flashes a smile.
-
Above the noise, Catriona can be heard thanking the people for seeing her. She then leaves them saying, "Ingat kayo!"

Catriona's grand homecoming parade continues this weekend at the Araneta Center in Cubao, Quezon City.
The newly minted Miss Universe queen arrived in Manila last Friday, February 15.
The second leg of her homecoming parade will on February 23, Saturday, around Araneta Coliseum.
