Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez was showered with love when she celebrated her 55th birthday on April 22, 2025.
Taking to Instagram, Regine gave her followers a glimpse into her heartwarming celebration, sharing photos of the festivities and the thoughtful gifts she received from her loved ones.
Accompanying the images, Regine wrote in her caption (published as is): "Bago matapos ang araw na ito nais ko lang magpasalamat sa lahat ng bumati nagpadala ng regalo at nakaalala sa birthday ko [emoji]."
Regine also expressed heartfelt gratitude to her son Nate and her husband Ogie Alcasid for honoring her wish to keep the celebration simple and intimate.
"I also want to say thank you to my family my son and my husband for honoring my wishes kung pano ko gusto I celebrate ang birthday ko."
Reflecting on childhood parties, she noted, "Nung bata pa ako kung ano anong party ang binibigay sakin but the truth is I never wanted a production number kinda party I just want to be with the people I love."
Drawing from those experiences, Regine chose meaningful memories with her closest loved ones over grand parties.

"Last Sunday I celebrated my birthday kasama ko mama ko mga kapatid at pamangkin ko at iba pang relatives syempre asawa at anak ko at si bff ko.
"Nag super bingo kami [emoji] I had a great time [emoji]
"Today I celebrated my birthday hearing the Word Of GOD with our small group. I guess when you reach a certain age (sa madaling salita tumatanda ka na ) [emoji]."
Regine emphasized: "Ang importante ngayon ay creating memories hindi na yung mga magarbong celebrations or parties it’s creating memories with the people I care about and these wonderful memories I will cherish for a long time.

OGIE ALCASID GREETS WIFE REGINE VELASQUEZ
Ogie took to Instagram to share his birthday wishes for his wife of 14 years.
In his first post, Ogie shared an Instagram Reel capturing a funny moment where Regine teased him about his height as she asked him to reach for a balloon that was just out of his grasp.
The caption read, "Happy bday mahal!!! Pasensya hindi ko abot. [emojis]"

In his next post, Ogie shared photos from Regine's birthday celebration.
The songwriter revealed that it was actually his wife who cooked the food.
In the caption, he wrote (published as is), "On her birthday, Regine decided to treat our small group to a dinner where she cooked every meal.
"Coach B and Ivy lead us with the sharing and after 14 years, it is heartwarming to know that all of our small group mates have had walks of growth in faith with our Lord and Savior.
"Baba, we are inspired by your ministry of cooking as you make sure we are nourished by the food and by the word as well. Happy birthday my love."
