With more time to "Netflix and chill" during the Luzon quarantine, more and more Pinoys are getting hooked on Korean series, particularly Crash Landing on You (CLOY).
The Sulit family in Cavite is one wacky bunch who knows how to level up their K-Drama game.
On March 31, 2020, the family's eldest child, Edflyn, took to Facebook and posted photos of her parents re-enacting the moment Yoon Se-ri (Son Ye-jin) crash-landed on Captain Ri Jeong Hyeok (Hyun Bin) in the series' pilot episode.
But what made the photo shoot more nakakakilig was that it was the family's simple way of celebrating the silver anniversary of their parents Edwin, 55, and Lynette, 54.
In her chat with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) via Facebook Messenger on April 1, Edflyn said it was their parents who initiated the photo shoot.
She recounted, "We just finished watching CLOY while on enhanced community quarantine and the whole family caught the CLOY fever.
"We did the photoshoot yesterday, March 31, on the day of their anniversary.
"Believe it or not, the idea actually came from our parents themselves—proof that CLOY is a big hit among all ages.
"It was just a fun shoot since we couldn't go out to celebrate due to the lockdown.
"Lahat ng shots sa paligid lang ng bahay namin kinuha.
"Saktong-sakto kasi may mga puno and may creek, so nag-match sa scenes ng CLOY."
Edflyn's post has so far gained 42,000 shares and 43,000 reactions at press time.
Here are the family's karir photos.
Lynette aka Yoon Se-ri tried to contact her staff after accidentally landing in a forest in North Korea.

Edwin aka Captain Ri caught sight of Se-ri, and pointed a gun at her.

Here's Se-ri jumping off the tree and making the "perfect landing" in Captain Ri's arms.

Se-ri ran away, but Captain Ri was able to catch up.

Edflyn and her siblings Swift, Kent, and Lyndon were also part of the fun.
They acted as Captain Ri's adorable team of soldiers called Company Five.

The family also included the cute scene where Captain Ri was seen talking to his tomato plant because Se-ri told him to do so.

EDWIN AND LYNETTE'S "PARANG BARKADA" RELATIONSHIP
In her interview with PEP.ph, Edflyn said that although her dad is a doctor and her mom is a nurse, they have all the time to watch CLOY because they've been at home since the quarantine started.
She related, "My dad is a practicing doctor, but works as freelance.
"My mom is a nurse, but she's a clinical instructor, so no classes also mean no work for her.
"They've been home for the entire duration of the ECQ, except of course to get groceries at our local stores."
She also gave a peek into her parents' easy-going relationship:
"Cool lang iyong relationship nila. They like teasing each other, parang barkada lang.
"Some of the things they like doing together are jogging, attending wellness seminars, and going to the midnight market to buy veggies because maintaining good health is important to them.
"When it comes to travel, they prefer to travel with us kids."
It is also by being simple that the couple raised a family who is resourceful, even in celebrating milestones in their lives.
"Very simple things can already make them happy so we don't usually plan for their anniversary," Edflyn said.
"Whatever situation we're in at the time, we just go with the flow and make the most of it."
Asked what her wish for her parents is, Edflyn beamed, "We wish them happiness and more anniversaries, of course!
"Who knows what we might come up next on their succeeding anniversaries?"
