“As far as I know, I’m the youngest professor that taught in a university,” ani Suborno na tampok sa Great Big Story YouTube channel noong February 15, 2025.
Sa edad na two years old, memoryado na raw niya ang periodic table of elements.

HOW IT ALL STARTED
Ani Suborno, nagkamalay siya sa pagtuturo sa kanya ng mathematics sa edad na two years old.
Nasa Bronx sila noon at mahirap pa ang kanilang pamumuhay.
Walang trabaho ang ina at nagtatrabaho bilang security guard ang ama.
“But still, my dad had a big love for mathematics,” ani Suborno.
“My mom used to give me lessons in math and that’s when the thoughts started occurring to me.”
Sagot daw ng ina, “I said, ‘No, he’s totally different than other kids.’”
Ani Suborno, normal ang kanyang kindergarten years at ang first two years sa elementarya.

STUDENT AT NEW YORK UNIVERSITY
“It was a huge accomplishment for me even to get accepted into university,” sabi ng matatas na estudyante sa Great Big Story interview.
“I was nervous that due to being in only two years of high school…
“And not just that. The fact that I was six years younger than every other applicant, it would make it very difficult for me get accepted."
Sabi naman ni Dr. Kovan Pillai, director ng NYU Math Circle, “Working with a student like Suborno is thrilling because they have infectious energy.
“No matter how much you teach them, they want to know more.”
Paliwanag niya pa, “These kids are actually special-needs kids, and I know people don’t like to think them like that.
“The typical attitude is they’re smart, they’ll figure it out eventually. They don’t.
“They need as much attention as somebody struggling to keep up with the class because they disengage in the same way.”
LONG-TIME PROFESSOR IS A BOY
“I’ve been teaching technically for a very long time, ever since the channel Bari Science Lab started,” aniya sa kanyang YouTube channel na may higit 1.42 million subscribers.
Hirit niya, “Right now, I’ve estimated the lectures that I’ve given was possibly 30-25 in person, but possibly over 3,000 if you count online lectures.”

SUBORNO ON FULFILLMENT
Sabi naman niya sa kanyang fulfilmment bilang lecturer, “The reward are mostly just total gratification.
“It feels like you actually spread your knowledge to other people, and that’s one of the most valuable feelings you can get.”
“I would to tell any parents watching this speak to your kids. They have a lot more going in their mind than you realize.”
Pahayag niya sa mga batang tulad niya, “I hope that 9- or 10-year-old kids will see my story, they’ll take away the message that they’re supposed to be teaching at 9 or 10 years old…
“But I think that they should take away the message that with enough determination and enough passion for whatever subject you want to go into, anything is possible.”
Sabi pa ng kanyang ama, “We don’t want him to be the next [Albert] Einstein. We want him to be the next happiest person in the world.”
