Pia Wurtzbach stunned and wowed in two looks—both in her iconic color royal blue—at the recently concluded The Universe Gives Back Charity Fashion Gala at The Grand Ballroom of Marriott Hotel.
Her first look from the House of Rubio was a Rose Gown with a princess bustier.
Her second look, a Sirene Gown, had a huge flower detail.
Both were created by designer Jo Rubio.
The show also featured collections of local designers like Albert Andrada, Rhett Eala, Michael Leyva, Ito Curata, Jot Losa, Avel Bacudio, Cherry Veric, and Martin Bautista, with this year's 40 Bb. Pilipinas candidates wearing the gowns.
PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) spoke with Pia after the charity gala to find out why she suddenly walked the runway twice that evening.
The Miss Universe 2015 titleholder exclaimed, "Yeah. Surprisingly just one fitting, he got it right, right away.
"I was also told I was not walking, but then sabi nila last night because of BDO..."
Pia has been an endorser of the brand since 2016.
Her chosen advocacy, LoveYourself, and Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray's advocacy, Young Focus, were the charity gala's beneficiaries.
Catriona, fondly called Cat, also walked in two gowns, hers on the nude-gold-beige color spectrum.
People couldn't help but compare the two Miss Universe queens, especially on the rare occasion when they appear together, side by side, in the same event.
Pia threw in, "You know, I try not to entertain any negativity, I am really happy, we should all be happy we have four Miss Universe from the Philippines now."
Pia also spent a considerable amount of her precious time that evening talking to some of the Bb. Pilipinas candidates.
She adds, "Alam mo, sobrang pleasant ng mga girls, I was able to talk to some of them backstage.
"And they are really prepared, I have seen some of their pictures, videos, interviews."
Her fearless forecast in time for the June 9 coronation?
"I can say na sobrang competitive na talaga ng Binibining ngayon, in a good way, na yung tipo na if the competition happened tonight, puwede nang ilaban sa Miss Universe bukas. Ang gagaling talaga."
Will we snag another win, back-to-back this time?
"Oo naman, Philippines pa."
And what's her tip to be confidently beautiful?
Pia replied, "Because to make your dreams come true, to make little tasks happen or big tasks, it really changes your life, that is confidence."
