Maja Salvador believes now is not the time to be buying designer items.
The 32-year-old actress points out to PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), "Ako, mahirap, mahirap [ang buhay] ngayon."
The exclusive interview took place via Zoom on Monday, March 15, 2021.
Maja advises, "Kung kayang hindi muna iyon iyong bilhin natin, di ba? Mas itago niyo para in case of emergency, mga ganyan."
Given the current situation, it's better to be smarter about managing finances, and prioritize the needs over wants.
She says, "Hindi ko naman sa sinasabing huwag kayong bumili. Mag-spend ka kung merong extrang-extra.

There's also nothing wrong with indulging in designer brands.
Maja acknowledges it is okay to reward yourself.
"Kung bigay naman, why not?
"If it's your happiness na bumili ng mga bagay na ganyan, e, di go. Kasi ako, e, grabe ko rin pasayahin ang sarili ko."
For Maja, buying luxury shoes is her guilty pleasure, but she makes sure to get the most out of every pair she owns.
She tells PEP.ph, "Di ba nagsasayaw ako? So maarte ako sa shoes.
"Kasi kunyare di ba naka-t-shirt ka lang, magsapatos ka lang ng maganda parang, 'Ay ang ganda!'
"Mahilig ako sa shoes pero ROI naman iyon sa akin. Return agad ng investment iyon kasi sayaw dito, sayaw doon."
