Pia Wurtzbach turned heads with her dazzling outfits during the Miss Universe Philippines 2022 coronation night held at the Mall of Asia Arena.
On Saturday, April 30, 2022, the beauty queen hosted the show with not just one, but four different gowns by renowned fashion designers.
Inspired by her fellow beauty queen’s iconic gowns, all of her show-stealer gowns were put together by her stylists Adrianne Concepcion, Perry Tabora, Team RainxEm, and Qurator Studio.
For her first look, Pia wore a one-sided Filipiniana gown with feathered embellishments by Mark Bumgarner.
In an Instagram post, Pia revealed that it was an ode to the white gown worn by Gloria Diaz, the Philippines’ first Miss Universe.
She wrote: “Manila Girl on the Moon [white heart, Philippine flag emojis]
“An ode to the white gown Gloria Diaz, the Philippines’ first Miss Universe, wore when she was asked in 1969 what would she do when the first man on the moon visited Manila.
“Today, this look is a message for every woman to be unafraid to reach for the moon and say yes to her dreams & new adventures.”

Her second look was designed by Jaggy Glarino.
Inspired by the iconic flower pinned on Margie Moran’s gown, Pia looked every bit a dazzler in her yellow gown with thigh-high slit.
In a separate Instagram post, she wrote: “In Full Bloom [yellow heart, Philippine flag emojis]
“Taking cues from the iconic flower pinned on Margie Moran’s gown when she was crowned Miss Universe back in 1973, we want to showcase the woman in full bloom.
“In a hue that’s brighter than the sun, we’re reinventing what pageant swimsuit shots could look like with this offbeat one piece number that unapologetically highlights a woman’s curves.”

The beauty queen picked a Louis Pangilinan creation in her signature color for her third look.
Donning a form-fitting gown with beads, crystals, and sequins, Pia shared in another Instagram post that it was an homage to her DIC crown when she won Miss Universe in 2015.
Her caption read: “My Crowning Glory [blue heart, Philippine flag emojis]
“An homage to my DIC crown when I won Miss Universe back in 2015 in my signature blue color.
“We’re taking wearing the crown to the next level — not just on top of our heads, but as an embodiment of how every woman should be celebrated whatever size, shape or age she is.”

For the grand finale, the 32-year-old stunned audiences in a red one-shoulder gown with gloves as she walked down the runway.
Designed by Gladi Echavarre and Atsuko Kudo, the sultry red gown showed her curves in all the right places.
