In an Instagram Live Q&A session on August 2, 2023, Ellen replied to a netizen's message of praise regarding her distinctive style, and the way she carries her outfits with ease and nonchalance.

The message read, "Not a question but admiration. I love how you dress up. Super chill lang dili bitaw nang over over kaayo... [Not a question but admiration. I love how you dress up. Super chill lang hindi yung sobra-sobra]."
In response to the fan's compliment, Ellen took the opportunity to shine a spotlight on the fashion pegs upon which she bases her OOTD (outfit of the day).

Ellen described the style as "homeless look but not homeless."
