Issa Pressman is one celebrity who is likely to be seen wearing the same outfit more than once.

Talking to PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), she asserted that repeating outfits can be stylish and trendy.

And when shopping, Issa said her main consideration would be the return on value of her purchases.

She explained, "Kasi ako, ano talaga, I don't wanna waste, everything has to be sulit."

PEP interviewed Issa during the grand opening of the newest store of the lifestyle brand Patton in Shangri-la Plaza Manila, Mandaluyong City.

ISSA PRESSMAN SULIT HACKS WHEN BUYING OUTFITS

According to Issa, she would calculate the cost per wear of an item to get the most value out of her purchases, particularly the pricier pieces.

"Not all the time, but actually we did that... It's just, it's a fun thing to do. Kasi it also like expands your creativity also.

"And it's also very sustainable, parang hindi siya yung mga one-time wear only. So, yes, I think everyone should do it."

And so, following a popular fashion hack, Issa usually buys versatile clothing staples that allow for endless outfit combinations.

She said, "I love mixing pieces around, so having basics is like a key thing for me. So I could have a basic top and then a loud jacket or like loud pants.

"I'm a sucker for like reversible stuff or things na parang they're basic, pero not too memorable, but I can always wear them again and again.

"And then because I wanna style it up with a lot of accessories and all that, it would always look different to me."

ISSA PRESSMAN: VERSATILE, COMFY, AND STYLISH

With versatility being a crucial element in her outfit choices, Issa cited Patton for its multifunctional pieces.

She said, "It became like one of my essential pieces talaga, like when I travel, to be honest, there's always one Patton piece, one or two, that I never not use.

"I love how it holds your body, you know, I love how it looks tight but it's so comfortable so it wraps around you really well, but the comfortability is there.

"Makes you feel sexy, I think, and very light."

At the brand's store opening, Issa sported some of brand's latest pieces to show how these casual items could be dressed up, depending on one's styling.

She said, "I think if you make something with classic pieces, basic pieces, it's really not ever gonna go away.

"And what I like about their pieces then is like, you can always wear like, for example, this one's [my top] very athletic...

"But then I can wear it with like hip-hop pants, or like sometimes, I'll wear these big pants with just a tube and then earrings and a proper necklace and then it looks formal."

NOOD KA MUNA!

Providing versatile and comfortable pieces has consistently been one of the brand’s central goals, according to Migs Almenda, who founded the brand together with his wife, fashion designer Patty Ang.

Migs told PEP.ph, "During the pandemic, especially during the pandemic...

"We were working mostly at home, we wanted to feel comfortable. But comfortable at the same time still stylish.

"So we created a fashion label that caters to all individuals—male, female, different age groups."

In describing what customers can find in the store, Migs said that the brand's signature style will be present, complemented by unique features, a practice they have followed since their first store.

"We're trying to do unique features per store... Each store naman kasi we have our own concept of our store.

"So we wanted to mix it up a little bit. You know, still have the pattern, inspiration of each store.

"For the Shangri-La one, we wanted to do something different... but unique as well. So it's like when you enter, you'll see a big box there.

"There's like TVs all around. But the aesthetic is still the same from our other stores."

On their major plans for the brand, Migs informed that their current focus will be on strengthening the e-commerce segment, especially since they began shipping globally following the launch of Emily Ratajkowski as the brand’s ambassador.

Migs said, "Moving forward, we're really concentrating on our e-commerce side. The e-commerce side of the business.

"Obviously with Emrata [Emily Ratajkowski] being the brand ambassador, there's been a lot of inquiries, buyers from abroad. So we're really trying to push our e-commerce side of the business as well."

Additionally, their overarching dream is to open Patton stores internationally.

In his words, "Eventually, the goal is to bring Patton abroad, to bring Patton outside of the Philippines.

"And, you know, it will be a dream for Patty and I to be able to see, eventually, hopefully, see a Patton store outside of the Philippines.

"And that will be a dream come true for us.

"And as Filipinos, as entrepreneurs, you know, that's something that we want to see in the future."
