Kapamilya actress Maris Racal made a stunning debut at the 75th Berlin International Film Festival or Berlinale.
On February 15, 2025, Maris graced the red carpet of the prestigious event as she represented her film Sunshine.
The film, directed by Antoinette Jadaone, is competing in the Berlinale 2025's Generation 14plus category.
Sunshine tells the story of a young rhythmic gymnast, portrayed by Maris, who discovers she is pregnant just as she is about to try out for the national team.
The narrative delves into her emotional journey as she faces the dilemma between pursuing her athletic dreams or embracing impending motherhood.

The backless lime green gown featured a halter neckline adorned with white floral embellishments, inspired by the Philippines' national flower—the sampaguita.

"The dress, dubbed as No22 look from the collection, is made from a lime green chiffon, accentuated with handmade silk flowers, in which Jot Losa turned into a garland, graciously surrounding the neck.
"This is Maris’s fashionable way of greeting 'Mabuhay' on the global stage."

Maris also took to social media to express her gratitude and excitement as she fulfilled her dream of attending a prestigious film festival, which she described as "unforgettable."
Showing her photos from the red carpet, Maris's caption read (published as is): "My first Berlinale International Film Festival—truly unforgettable.
